I will be sitting an exam on the day of your American Thanksgiving. I will probably go out to eat afterwards or I may find food to bring back to wherever I am staying (it's in a random city that I've never visited before). I may not feel much like eating.

I'm from the UK, so no, as we don't celebrate, in fact, prior to coming online I may not have heard of thanksgiving, the internet has done a lot to reduce national insularity, which I think is generally a good thing.

Once we went out to eat on Thanksgiving. It was right after moving to California over 30 years ago. We had no family here. Not again since that.

No, I usually host Thanksgiving at my home. Sometimes I go to someone else's home for it. I don't think I've ever eaten at a restaurant on Thanksgiving. The closest I've come was when I lived in Israel, and a hotel near where I lived hosted a Thanksgiving dinner that you could get tickets to (there were a lot of American students around, and it was an American hotel chain). My flatmates and I went. I think it was in an event room at the hotel, so not technically in a restaurant, though I did have to pay for the meal.
