Jump to SurveyWhat's OOI? I think I'm usually civil (I try for even interleave on road merges and say thank you to check out clerks, etc.), but there's a lot of variation in how people want to be treated. For example, I think chattiness in business interactions is kind of rude (wastes other people's time) which is probably the prevailing northeastern attitude, but southerners seem to like chatting for several minutes before starting business. My most common uncivil thing is not noticing people when I'm walking. I think that has a lot to do with being short - people can't be counted on to notice me, so I treat them as moving obstacles, like kids do. When I get angry I can be very rude.
Jump to SurveyOkay, I haven't painted those scratches yet, but I willl RSN. (Really!) In general, I find cars very dirty and gross to work on, and would much rather pay someone else to do it. I like things with moving parts, so I can force myself to deal with light lubricants, but once you start adding other icky (messy/toxic/smelly) liquids, I don't want to touch it. I deal with mild manures (horse & cow) much better than gasoline.
Jump to SurveyChildren's books make me cry, and I hate it. I can't get through "Courderoy" or "Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse" without bursting into tears. I don't understand this. I like reading aloud, and this really interferes - I have to read these books a lot before I can get through them. I also hate crying in public, or crying when I am frustrated or angry, which happens much more than crying when I am sad. It takes a situation where I already feel like I don't have enough control and takes it even more out of my control.
