Jump to Surveyabsolutely!! i go the the hair stylist and sometimes tell him i don't care if he sings, hums, talks but do not ask me any questions or ask me to participate in the conversation. i just want to relax and not engage in small talk. most times at my husband's family gatherings i find there isn't a single interesting conversation going on. they are the most boring people i have ever known. i don't say much at those gatherings. the best conversation takes place on thanksgiving day when all the women sit around the dining room table and go through the huge array of ads for shopping the next day. sad isn't it? here is a sample of a typical conversation: mom: 'joe, remember that boy you went to school with in the fifth grade who used to where plaid shirts and liked oj?' joe: 'no i don't'. mom: 'yes you do. remember his dad drove a red ford?' joe: 'no, can't say that i remember him.' and it goes on and on that way. anyway, that is how a typical family afternoon goes. i hate it. so i avoid even family socialization as much as i can. i am civil, cheerful, laugh if there is something to laugh about, but i would kill myself if i ever had to vacation with these people. ok...went off track a little bit here...thanks for the opportunity to vent. and today, father's day, is going to be ONE OF THOSE DAYS!!! arrrrrghhhhhhh!!! thank goodness they serve booze at these parties.
Jump to Survey1:00. any other time makes me resent the appointment and i might cancel it, even though it may have taken weeks/months to get in. i do not like morning appts because i like to lounge and casually welcome the day in my jammies with some nice tea or coffee. i don't like the late afternoon because worker bees are trying to get in at that time due to having to work. Yes, 1:00 would be my favorite time for appts of any kind.
Jump to Surveypizza. it seems like that is always pizza. love pizza.
