Recent Comments: | Jump to Survey | There has been some research which has shown pretty conclusively that height discrimination is incredibly pervasive in all facets of life, but particularly when deciding whom we find physically attractive. "The Economist" had an article on this several years ago. Personals ads are pretty good indication: If height is specified, see how many are looking for a short man. Unfortunately, this also seems to be incredibly deeply wired into us. About the only good thing I've found about being short is that I have a pretty good strength-to-weight ratio by default. | | Jump to Survey | I have done a little bit of the crawling around / exploring of caves in Santa Cruz, CA and in the Mojave desert.
But rock climbing has been the funnest way to experience caves. At some of the best climbing places (Krabi in Thailand, American Fork and Maple Canyon in Utah), there are climbs that start at the back of a cave, and run along the roof and then out the mouth of the cave. So you are climbing upside down on the ceiling the whole time. VERY fun.

Say it with me: "Export porn, not jobs!" |
