Are women with blonde hair, blue eyes, light skin, full lips, large breasts, and tall, slender bodies the standard of physical female beauty?

This survey is so subjective it hurts. Don't ply me with questioning every adjective and noun.
This survey is on "physical female beauty" because it was just meant to be.

21No such thing exists.
6The standard of physical female beauty is...
5All women are physically beautiful.
3I don't know.

Personally I like olive skin, brown hair, tall, green or brown eyes and the bewbs go without saying.

I don't think there is a standard of physical beauty. I mean the standard is so ridiculous that I think it has come to not exist. Plus, look at all the people who are considered physically beautiful. They all look pretty different to me.

Perhaps the standard. But there are plenty of beutiful women who fall under none of those descriptives.

No, though it seems so. I'm not sure a standard of physical beauty exists, but if it did...I saw a picture of Michelle Rodriguez a few days ago. She just looked so happy, tough and real. I think she is beautiful, physically.

And lesbians are, like, the experts on women, so the fact that Sue loves you must mean you're pretty damn good at being a woman, too. And nevermind the additional fact that you're *beautiful*!

one of our tour guides in China, a Mr. Lao, tended to go on about Chinese folklore... he was telling us on one ride about the four beautiful women in Chinese history, that is, there were only four women in China who were actually considered beautiful, four women, yes. And these four women were all very beautiful but each woman had one defect; there was one thing about here that was not beautiful. The first woman had big feet. That is, her feet were very large, but she was very beautiful. The second beautiful woman was very beautiful but she had a very bad body odor.

anyway I fell asleep before he got to three and four.

(reply to Sparky) posted 12-Jun-2001 8:18pm
Actually, Jesus wouldn't offer forgiveness simply because someone is a lesbian, because it's not needed. I see many lesbian relationships that are as full and loving and life-giving as the best heterosexual relationships, and I don't believe there is any forgiveness needed. Why would it be needed?

But, in any circumstance where someone is seeking forgiveness, there is no condemnation. What do you mean when you say that someone might not accept forgiveness?
(reply to natsim) posted 13-Jun-2001 11:14am
Forgiveness is offered to everyone, but not everyone accepts it. Have you ever read Romans 1? That is where heterosexual condemnation is mentioned. What about Sodom and Gomorrha?

(It's not possible to reply to Oscar, because Oscar hasn't commented on this survey yet. If you comment as Oscar, then I can fix it).

There's an interesting typo in your question.....
Yes, I have read Romans 1 and Sodom and Gomorrah. I think it's impossible to compare the gang rape of Sodom and Gomorrah to a monogamous lesbian relationship. This passage says nothing about gay and lesbian relationships, only about acts of sexual violence, which we agree is abominable.
(reply to Sparky) posted 13-Jun-2001 7:24pm
Another quick point on Sodom and Gomorrah: If you look in the Bible for the first reference to Sodom and Gomorrah, you'll find that God had decided to destroy S&G well before the famous interaction with Lot's visitors. The reason God was going to destroy S&G was "she and her daughters had pride, excess of food and prosperous ease, but did not aid the poor and needy." (From Ezekiel 16:49)
(reply to natsim) posted 14-Jun-2001 4:34pm
I think you are wrong. There was sexual corruption is S&G, that is why God was condemning it. You ignored my comment about Romans 1.
Here are some things for you to think about:
Romans 1:24,26-28,32
Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves....For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting....who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
2 Peter 2:4-10
For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly; and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly; and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked (for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds) -- then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment, and especially those who walk according to the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise authority.
Jude 6-8
And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He [God] has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day; as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. Likewise also these dreamers defile the flesh, reject authority, and speak evil of dignitaries.
(reply to Oscar) posted 14-Jun-2001 7:03pm
Oscar, if I thought that you were interested in hearing (with open ears) my opinion on these passages then I would take the time to share it, but your response to my comments on Sodom and Gomorrah make me think that it will be pointless. In any case, there are many theologians who have written on these passages and I see little point in reproducing their work.
IF you are interested, there are a number of good websites that discuss Romans 1 in detail. There are links to a lot of them here:
(reply to natsim) posted 14-Jun-2001 10:49pm
I guess there isn't too much to be said then. You think those passages condone homosexuality and I think they condemn it.
