I'm more in favor of human rights. Not quite so happy with the idea of singling out some groups for special rights.

Yes I do stand up for the legal rights for gay people to get married and I stand up for children that are being abused by their parents and other human causes I stand up for by sending letters to elected officials

I ask, where does one person's rights end, and another's rights begin?

People may believe in different things...one stepping on the rights of another. I believe in the Bible's instruction. . A society needs to be of like kind, and mind to be peaceful.

I never believed in the women's liberation movement. I do not believe in gay marriage. I hate no one, I wish no harm to anyone, but I believe in the Christian way of life.

This is a maybe. I might like the cause but do not like the way they are going about it. Then I become a passive observer.

What is really starting to bug me though is the "Oh you can't pray in public" cry from folks. "We are offended by that"
Well I am offend by them uttering cuss words in every sentence. Maybe I can get something passed to make that offensive and get it banned from all public places.
But I believe in the freedom of speech and religion here in the USA and as God is my witness I will pray when I want to.
Again they don't like it go away, I am not forcing anyone to stay and listen.

If I feel emotionally, viscerally involved, yes, for example, I'll always stick up for my own people the English; however, I'll also defend any group I feel is being unfairly attacked, whether I feel it in my gut to do so or not; I'll not just automatically stick up for "my own"; I'll strive to be impartial out of sheer fairness, because I feel very uncomfortable having bad attitudes towards any section of society: I like to get on with everybody if I can. I can be "difficult" enough without finding extra reasons to be!

Sometimes. I support people's rights in regards to behaviors that others may condemn or object to, but that are not wrong. It's actually one of my favorite things to do.

I don't "try" to stand up for human rights, I DO stand up for human rights.
