What are your thoughts on the new Blackberry Phone?

(Source wikipedia)
The BlackBerry Passport is a phablet developed by BlackBerry Limited. Officially released on September 24, 2014, the Passport is inspired by its namesake and incorporates features designed to make the device attractive to enterprise users, such as a unique square-shaped display measuring 4.5 inches diagonally, a compact physical keyboard with touchpad gestures, and the latest release of the company's BlackBerry 10 operating system.

Reception to the Passport was mixed; critics praised the quality of the device's design, screen, and keyboard for meeting the company's goals of creating a business-oriented device, along with an improved application selection through the integration of Amazon's Appstore for Android (taking advantage of the Android software support provided by BlackBerry 10) alongside BlackBerry's own store for native software. Criticism of the Passport was focused primarily on its irregular form factor in comparison to other phablets, making the device difficult to carry and use one-handed due to its increased width, while its keyboard was also panned for having an irregular layout in comparison to past BlackBerry devices.

All smartphones look much the same to me. I'm aware that Blackberries have keyboards, but beyond that... <shrugs>

I don't have any; I've never owned a blackberry, not that I don't want to, but I can't afford to keep up with cutting edge electronic purchases, beyond paying my monthly broadband fee.

I LOVE THE KEYBOARD!! It has always been what I liked about them. I have a Torch that has both touch screen and keyboard - I'm loath to change it. I don't care for just a touch screen. The Passport is more for business to read spread sheets but I envy its keyboard...

I'm not sure that would fit in my pockets. My phone has one push button on it for the Home screen, and I find it irritating that I have to apply pressure to use the button. I have to brace it to push the button. I would prefer that everything on my smart phone be a touch screen.

Here is my phone with the one annoying button on the bottom: http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones/SGH-T...

My camera sucks too. My next phone will have a better camera. Mine is 5mp, yours is 13mp so that is appealing, but that's it.

I have my old phone, that has a camera, I need nothing more. I know nothing about other phones. My children, and grandchildren know all the new phones.

My wife had one for work. She wasn't particularly thrilled with it.

I use a Blackberry Z10- The thing has been almost flawless the entire time, best predictive keyboard, best native browser, one-handed swipe gesture is a joy and even though I REALLY want one the excellence of the Z10 and the fact that I like a clip holster and they havent made one yet for the blackberry Passport is a deal breaker for me- at the moment

I have heard you really need about 3 weeks to get used to the "only" 3 rows of keys as the Other line is a swipe down + its quite wide, the adopters have said its really quite amazing and Blackberry is getting some traction with it........yea yea I know Im a huge fan LOL

I don't like the shape. I'm not a fan of a Blackberry generally though.
