Do you think people nowadays only care about themselves more than caring for someone else?

Yes. Just as it should be.

Only caring about yourself, never caring about anyone else: probably not such a good thing.

Caring about yourself more than caring about other people: Not only is is a good thing, it's a necessary thing, if we want an efficient, functional society.

Caring about people who don't want you caring about them: a reprehensible, inappropriate thing.

No. Is someone having a bad day?

That is the feeling that I get , people these days only care about themselves and nobody else

Not anymore than they did in the past. People have always been somewhat selfish and somewhat selfless since the beginning of time. Its human nature.

Its also human nature to dog about how horrible things are today and how they were better in the past. In 2200 people will be doging how awesome things were back in the day in the year 2150 the good old days.

I think your answer to this would depend on the way you look at things and perhaps your line of work. I know quite a few very caring people that honestly mean it when they ask "how are you?" I'll bet people in certain professions see a lot more hatred than others do.

Sometimes, but no more so than has been usual in the course of human history.

Sometimes. Just like they've always been.

No more than people have always been like this.

Sometimes, I think we might all be better off if we all just acted selfishly, all the time. Then, at least, we'd know what to expect and there would be consistency to things. The way it is now, we seem to pretend to care about other people, but then fall short. Or, we help, but in helping we make things worse.

Yes, but I don't think 'nowadays' has anything to do with it. People have always been that way and will always be that way.

The way I see it, is that everyone has needs. You could take care of your own, or you could put yourself out helping them take care of theirs. Either way, someone has to suffer. Might as well be the other guy.

Sometimes helping someone else fulfills your own needs.
Sometimes it's hard to tell what someone's needs are, or even what your own needs are.

I'm pretty sure it 's not a new thing.

Sometimes, fulfilling someone else's needs keeps you from fulfilling your own. That's when it's good to be selfish.

People should stop relying on other people to fulfill their own flibbin needs. I mean, dang. I've had enough of other people's needy crap that interfered with my own life, that I can honestly say those types of people that "need you" don't care about you. Better to care for your own self.

It's good to care enough about people in general to consider their time and their life. There is nothing wrong with caring ABOUT yourself, though.

Some people. I don't think it's fair to blame it on nowadays, I think people were always as selfish as they are today.

Maybe I'll just skip this survey and go do something that really pleases me...
