Taking It Back: Have you ever said to someone, "I take that back"?

Have you ever uttered something you immediately regretted having said - and so immediately said to that same person, "I take that back"?

I've definitely said "I take that back," but I think it's generally because I've said something that I then realized was incorrect or I didn't actually agree with. I don't think it's been because I regret what I said, exactly--like saying something that I then realize is hurtful. Although it's possible that I've said it in that context. I just don't remember.

I think so but it was a way of admitting that I was wrong about a statement rather than something said to hurt.

I have to lean forward to type when there aren't options to click.

You said it so much more succinctly, though!

Ah! I get it now why people insist on options rather than essays!

No. I don't tend to say things that I regret later. I have to have a good reason to say something insulting, and if I had a good reason, I don't tend to regret it.
