Hi There: Have you ever spoken to a stranger next to you, when you thought you were talking to a friend or relative?

Have you ever crossed the street - or walked a sidewalk - and continued your conversation with the person next to you...then turned to find you were speaking to a stranger?

No. And I can't recall the last time I walked anywhere let alone with someone.

Not exactly. But when I was young (maybe 5 or 6), I went to an air museum with my parents and brothers. I went to the loo and when I came back, I could see my Dad standing nearby with his back to me. So I ran up behind him and shouted "BOO!" Even as the sound left my lips, I caught a glimpse of my Dad out of the corner of my eye, several feet away. I had run up behind a complete stranger. I fled. I was absolutely mortified. It still ranks as one of the most embarrassing moments of my life.

Yes sometimes I will say the person's name and at times they look at me and shake their head and say no that's not me.

This really isn't an essay type survey. I bet it's a new user who posted it! And yes, it's happened to me on a few occasions.

My most embarrassing moment is incredibly similar; I got out of the pool on holiday, approached my mum and started talking about how I didn't recognise the new towels. Then my mum shouted me over; I had a massive tantrum (at about five or six - too old), and was taken back to the apartment. Heh.

Yes I have. At a bar. I was sitting at a table with my friend and her husband. It was my turn to buy so I walked over to the bar, ordered, then walked back to the table, sat the drinks down and started talking for a bit and looked up to see my friend a few tables over laughing her ass off. Her husband was ticked. I looked at the two ladies sitting at the table I was at and realized their horrified faces and I stopped talking, smiled real big, then took the drinks up and said "never mind".
Granted I was tripping on jimson weed, but I might have done it anyway lol It was funnier than hell tho.

No. I'd be surprised if this happened to anyone.
