I'd never believe it was really 100% solid information and I'd be sure I'd be caught.

If I could afford to

Wouldn't that be illegal insider trading?

Sure why not. It's no different than gambling and maybe a bit better, because if I lose money I can write it off as a loss on taxes. Can't do that with losses at a casino or the track.

How traceable is the means by which I came by this information? If it could come back to me and I could be convicted of insider trading, I wouldn't do it. Though even if it wasn't traceable back to me, I would probably be worried that it could be, so I probably wouldn't do it anyway.

So you do a couple of Martha Stewart years in a low security prison... and walk out with a couple million...

No, if I want to gamble I'll go to the casino.

No thanks! A felony conviction may not be a problem for someone with an enormous media empire and established following, but it would make it hard for me to find a job after. I don't think I'd have enough to invest in the stock to even make a million, so I wouldn't be able to retire on my earnings. I'd be unemployable and only modestly wealthier.

Well then you better start building that media empire... Beer

And be sure it's enormous.

That's the only kind of media empire to have, in my book!

Yes, obviously, if it truly were 100% accurate.

Probably not, simply because I don't currently own any stocks and it would be a bit of an ordeal to set up and account etc. and I can't really afford to invest right now. Besides, just because the information is "100% reliable" doesn't mean that I would believe that it was.
