Do you believe that a person who truly understands love could love anyone?

Inspired by this page:

No This is a loaded question.

There are different loves....compassion...etc.

Could I love an evil person who rapes and kills a small child? NO

Do you think Jesus could love that evil person?

Initial question... very loaded question.

God's commandment "Thou shalt not murder". There is a difference between kill, and murder.

There are many reasons why people do what they do. We can't separate the mind/body/spirit.

.Only God has the answer to your question.

Some people probably could, others maybe couldn't. I don't know that I'd connect it to "truly understanding love" (whatever that means), though.

Personally I don't understand the whole 'love' thing. Never had figured it out what the hell it is. Maybe because I'm a very unemotional person about anything. Not a Mr. Spock but close to it.

This sounds like the sort of trite phrase that might appear on someone's Instagram account against a picture of a sunset or a field of flowers.

To answer the question, I think that anyone who went around claiming to "truly understand love" or that they could "love anyone" would most likely be a person who loved the concept of people regardless of who or what they were. I'm not sure they would genuinely love the reality of certain people. It's easy to have a brief loving interaction with someone (or a series of loving interactions), but very different to consistently love a particular individual day in and day out no matter what they do or become. Many of us would have the capacity to do that for a person who was particularly special to us, but there is only so much unconditional loving you can take on.

Maybe I just don't understand love, but I think this statement is more sentiment than reality.

God so loved this world that he gave us only begotten Son Jesus and Jesus loves us all no matter what, for we are all filthy sinners but by the blood of Jesus our sins are washed away by the blood of the Lamb the Lamb of God yes God could love an evil person only if they repented of their wicked sins?
If that evil person came before the throne of God and repented of their evil ways then God would take that person into the Kingdom of heaven

I guess... Not sure since I do not feel emotions so I cannot relate to the question.

I can't answer for Jesus. But, I suspect Jesus will take care of the evil rapist, murderer in his own way.
