Audible Quirks: Do you think you make sounds that others might haven't told you are characteristic of you?

Are you aware of sounds you make habitually - like clearing your throat often, or speaking to yourself aloud - that your co-workers or friends might never have told you about?

I mumble to myself when I'm alone pretty often.

When I'm around people, I don't do it. I don't think I make noises in public. I will listen closer next time.

I don't think so, but my Mum has a particular throat-clearing cough that I hate. She particularly does it in the morning, so it's a sound that I associate with waking up. It's just ridiculously irritating.

Snoring - since my Dad passed; I hold the record for loudness...

a bit confused...I make sniff sounds. I only know of when I do it when I do it. I don't know if this is charateristic of me. I would think that other people deem characteristic traits rather than the owner. And I doubt anyone would mention the sniff sounds, it annoys the crap out of me, I'm not exactly going to bring it up. Why make myself any more self conscience of it? It annoys me and whther or not it annoys others doesn't seem connected.

I have this 'distaste' gesture. I frown and rapidly open and shut my mouth a little bit, with my tongue hitting the roof of it. Like somebody testing bad wine on their palate. I become quite inarticulate when I'm lazy. I didn't approve of something we were all talking about, and in agreement I said 'Yeah, it's all a bit, you know [gesture].' Lateral-thinking-friend, who has commented on it before, I think, laughed about it.
