What is the most recent gift that you were given?

Feel free to take a broad interpretation of 'gift' - it doesn't have to be wrapped in paper and tied with a bow. For instance, if your sweetie spontaneously picked a flower yesterday and handed it to you, that counts just fine.

My sweetie took the time to prepare pumpkin pie with extra cold whipped cream and warmed yummy cranberry sauce with pineapples and pine nuts (I'd made the sauce).

As far as presents go, Mom got us a candy dish for our new home. It is white and has 3 compartments. Currently it is holding dried ginger, raspberry almonds, and teensy hard candies.

Any of a number of birthday presents. I guess the last, and hence the most recent, of those was a bunch of stuff from the Body Shop.

A gift of some support-- I was freaking out about some trouble I'm having with a mural I'm designing right now, and Phi came and spent his Friday night with me in studio to give me the boost I needed to keep working. A studio-mate friend of mine came in and sang a completely ridiculous "song for rachel's self-esteem," after I told her I was beating myself up for having this much trouble. As for physical things, my roommate bought me a rolling pin and a few little whisks last time she went to the kitchen store. (for baking, not for beating my self up with * wink * ). I'm surrounded by kind and wonderful people.

I went to a Sum 41 gig on Thursday and a crowd surfer kicked me in the teeth and the ball of my lip ring got knocked out. My mum went out and bought me a new one on Friday. She is so great. Oh, and I got a text message from my boyfriend that said 'u rule more than system' and if you knew Carl you'd know how much he loves System of A Down, so that made me happy too.

My aunt sent me a really neat book with old pictures of my city in it. I am really interested in local history, and this book has pictures of the grade school I went to that were taken almost a hundred years ago, and lots of other pictures. The same day, my sister went shopping, and bought me two very pretty sweatshirts.

I haven't been given a gift in a while. My friend found a web page for me and some information. I said "I wonder what time school ends". We were on CPUs and without me even realizing it she went to the web page and found out and told me. I didn't even know she did it. I said thanks a lot. I didn't ask her, she just did it. I didn't even realize she took notice to my question. Is that a gift?
