My birth name is Julianne (pronounced Julie Ann). But a lot of people pronounce it wrong, or say Julianna. I would change my birth name to Julie, because that is what I prefer to be called.

I would not change my birth name. I wanted to when I was younger because nobody could say it or spell it right, but as I've gotten older I've grown to love my name.

If I had to change it, it'd be something nice and strong like Jane. If you catch me in the right mood I'd say Jennifer, because I'm starting to really like that name for some reason!
But all in all, confetti is nice. Hardly anyone can spell it, but it's nice.

When I was a cashier at Wal*Mart
>composes self... God I love Wal*Mart... Wal*Mart rocks... I was always amused by the staggering amount of people shopping there and complaining to ME that Wal*Mart was putting the "mom and pop shops" out of business... no, they did that when they chose not to shop at the mom and pop shops. I laughed in their hypocritical faces and told them to come back soon<
When I was a cashier at Wal*Mart, there was this guy that would come in and always go through my line. He always paid by check, and we always required I.D. of everyone paying in check. This man's legal name was Star Man.
I always admired him.
Just sharing.

My mother wanted to call me Grea (Gree-a) which i quite like, but my Dad wouldn't have it so he called me my name instead. Which sounds like Grea but doesn't go so well with my surname.

Well, I really like my name except for the fact that I was named after my father. That being the case, I would change it to Madeline and I would go by Maddy.
I like how Madeline has a nickname that goes well. Denise doesn't have too many cool nicknames. Niecey, Niecer...
On second thought, I still like my name. I'll just name my first daughter Madeline. * grin *

sort of... it's called "The Hackers Conference", it's a small invitation-only thing that I've skipped out on the last couple of years. I'm really glad I went this year... there's a lot of focus on computers but there are a lot of other interests usually represented, too... we had a great session on cooking, for instance * smile *

I'm sure you could do that if you wanted to, but it's a bit of a hassle. I changed back to my maiden name a few years after getting divorced and it was a pain, but I'm glad I did it.

What's your sister and her darling husband up to these days? We were just talking in the forum about wondering why they haven't been around for a while.
