| juliw | posted 8-Nov-2001 11:47am I like just about all of them, except that juliw. She's kind of weird. |
| Jemmy | posted 8-Nov-2001 11:55am Alright, who's got the best survival skills here? |
| icurok | posted 8-Nov-2001 11:58am The best cook, the best craftsperson and the best shag (whoever that would be and assuming they are three different people |
| Enheduanna | posted 8-Nov-2001 12:24pm romkey, Pomeranian, and Zang. |
| jkiehart | posted 8-Nov-2001 12:47pm It is literally impossible for me to pick just three. There's too many people that I would have to leave out. |
| kaleb777 | posted 8-Nov-2001 12:53pm Well since I like in depth discussions about deep things and politics, two would have to be Kristal Rose and Biggles. I don't know who the third would be. I'll get back to you. |
| Avocado | posted 8-Nov-2001 1:02pm Well, my love Rjinswand and my cousin Fairytrip would have to be two of the three |
| Brian | posted 8-Nov-2001 1:27pm Naming names would get me in trouble with those not named. So, suffice it to say three great conversationalists of my preferred gender with strong survival skills and insatiable sex drives... Although I'd settle for just one who can spear fish, build a cooking fire and suck a pearl right outta an oyster without crackin' the shell. |
| jkiehart | posted 8-Nov-2001 1:35pm Just so you all know, I'm free if you're looking for your third person. *ahem* |
| Brian | (reply to jkiehart) posted 8-Nov-2001 1:41pm Rumor has it you are pretty "free" in any case. I think I just found my island buddy. |
| jkiehart | (reply to Brian) posted 8-Nov-2001 1:48pm Whoo hoo! *dances and sings* I'm wanted on an IIIIII-land! I'm wanted on an IIIIII-land! Nah nah nee boo boo Stick your head in doo doo! Okay, I, um, either need to get some sleep OR Go get my afternoon fill of vodka |
| Brian | (reply to jkiehart) posted 8-Nov-2001 2:08pm (paralyzed with shock) Ahh...you know...it might be a good idea if we practiced a little first... Tell ya what...I'll go to Hawaii for the weekend and you can go to Crab and Lice Island. Let me know how it works out...if you think you still wanna get marooned with me, I'll pay for your lobotomy. |
| Brian | (reply to juliw) posted 8-Nov-2001 2:14pm You said that well... |
| anoddoblivion | posted 8-Nov-2001 2:53pm If I could I would pick myself for I know a good deal of survival skills. The people whom seem to me to have the most wits about them, and seem I wouldn't mind being around them, are Hare Krishna, msgman, and sequel. But since I know nothing about them except through this website, it's very limited. |
| Jemmy | (reply to anoddoblivion) posted 8-Nov-2001 2:59pm You have survival skills? Well, you're on my island then! |
| anoddoblivion | (reply to Jemmy) posted 8-Nov-2001 3:13pm "I was once shipwrecked on a desert Island with a man who could make a nuclear reactor out of toothpicks, but couldn't figure out how to patch a couple of holes in a boat"-Gilligan. |
| Biggles | posted 8-Nov-2001 3:45pm I can only choose three? I want everyone! I suppose I would choose whichever ones have the most meat on them - at least I wouldn't starve to death then...... |
| Biggles | (reply to kaleb777) posted 8-Nov-2001 4:01pm lol We'd end up fighting and K-R would have to send us to sit in opposite ends of the island and think about what we had done...... |
| kaleb777 | (reply to Biggles) posted 8-Nov-2001 4:04pm Like that would do any good. |
| Oscar | posted 8-Nov-2001 4:05pm Brian SueBee Mandy Can I have more than 3? I'd want dabprovin and jkeihart there too along with a few others. |
| confetti | posted 8-Nov-2001 4:29pm Ian, to remind him to pick up milk. Oh, this is one where I have to target particular users that I don't know. Okay, I guess Brian (because I have several rainchecks to give him a good slap), Jill (to see how her hair turned out!) and Justina, because she seems to have good survival skills! |
| juliw | (reply to Brian) posted 8-Nov-2001 4:29pm Thanks a lot! Hey, where have you been? Haven't seen you around here for a while. So, are you saying you think I'm weird, too? |
| confetti | (reply to Brian) posted 8-Nov-2001 4:31pm *raises an eyebrow* |
| Biggles | (reply to kaleb777) posted 8-Nov-2001 4:48pm lol Now I'm afraid, very afraid! Oh BTW - would we end up shipwrecked on a nice island? It's just I'd really rather not be a shipwreck companion on a cold, wet island where it snowed all the time and I had to sleep in a flimsy tent next to a cemetery in someone's garden...... Damn, I'm tired, I'm confusing fiction and reality again! The tent business is real! |
| darkshadowsseeker | posted 8-Nov-2001 6:04pm Kristal Rose-she has the intelligence to get me out of this fix. Biggles-we'll kill time talking about Harry Potter. And last (but not least)-justina, because she has survived living in NYC during and after Sept. 11th and would improve our moral greatly. |
| darkshadowsseeker | (reply to jkiehart) posted 8-Nov-2001 6:05pm Don't feel left out sweety-I picked ya! |
| mandy | posted 8-Nov-2001 7:37pm Wicksy Wicksy and Wicksy |
| Pomeranian | posted 8-Nov-2001 7:37pm Enheduanna, romkey, and, ... do any of you know how to repair a broken plane? |
| Pomeranian | (reply to mandy) posted 8-Nov-2001 7:38pm omg, how could I forget, sweet, sweet Wicksy... |
| mandy | (reply to Pomeranian) posted 8-Nov-2001 8:20pm *incredulous* How could you? |
| jkiehart | (reply to darkshadowsseeker) posted 9-Nov-2001 1:12am YES!!! You'll recognize me, I'll be the one with all the vodka! |
| jkiehart | (reply to confetti) posted 9-Nov-2001 1:13am |
| spidertea | posted 9-Nov-2001 1:42am Someone who knows how to find food and build a shelter. A doctor. Someone who tells good jokes. |
| Gamera | posted 9-Nov-2001 3:22am I would hope one of them would be dab, because he probably put the pontoons on his plane and flew there. We could hang out, have a good time, and then leave when we felt like it. |
| Wicksy | (reply to mandy) posted 9-Nov-2001 3:28am |
| Brian | (reply to juliw) posted 9-Nov-2001 5:21am We went to Uruguay for five days on a short, but much needed vacation. Since I got back I have been swamped at work. I don't think you are weird, I know it! That why I adore you. (pounce and smooch) |
| Brian | (reply to confetti) posted 9-Nov-2001 5:30am What? I can't do that. I am still trying to stick my toe up all by itself. Hey...(staring)...it that a real pearl necklace? |
| daver | posted 9-Nov-2001 6:30am Hmmm...do I go for people with whom I'd like to spend a lot of time, people upon whom I'd wish being stuck on a desert island, people with good survival skills, or people with well-marbled flesh. Decisions, decisions. |
| Zang | posted 9-Nov-2001 8:43am I don't approve of "popularity contest" type surveys. I respectfully decline to answer. |
| Brian | (reply to Oscar) posted 9-Nov-2001 9:04am You are so sweet. However, I imagine you picked me just to have someone will cook, wash and clean up after mandy, SueBee and you. Ahh...will any of my duties involve being a sex slave? (he asked hopefully) |
| Oscar | (reply to Brian) posted 9-Nov-2001 9:06am lol Well, if you think about, Mandy and SueBee already have a little thing going on between them. That leaves two... lol Slavery is a good thing sometimes, but remember, the chains go both ways! |
| Brian | (reply to spidertea) posted 9-Nov-2001 9:06am Didja hear the one about... |
| Brian | (reply to Zang) posted 9-Nov-2001 9:07am Damn...and just when I was about to pick you... |
| Brian | (reply to Oscar) posted 9-Nov-2001 9:12am Oscar, my adorable and irresistabale fellow "maroonee", if left to our own devices I fear the island would soon be filled with the pitter patter of little feet. Or at least would be my intention... |
| Brian | (reply to Biggles) posted 9-Nov-2001 9:15am Uh oh! Did I tell you about my new diet and HOW WELL it is working? |
| Brian | (reply to confetti) posted 9-Nov-2001 9:22am Hmmm...too bad about all them uncollectable rainchecks...about slapping I mean. <===TDMA |
| Oscar | (reply to Brian) posted 9-Nov-2001 9:24am don't tease me, you little slut! |
| Brian | (reply to Oscar) posted 9-Nov-2001 9:35am I beg your pardon? The correct terminology when referring to men is "sluto", not slut, thank you very much! |
| Brian | (reply to Oscar) posted 9-Nov-2001 9:37am Ahhh...Oscar, dear, I just realized that I might have touch some kind of nerve with you that I am unaware of. Please clarify. Or just slap my face, if you feel so inclined... (looking confused) |
| Zang | (reply to Brian) posted 9-Nov-2001 9:38am Really? You were going to pick me? I retract everything. I love popularity contests! Oh goodie goodie gumdrops! Somebody picked me! Somebody picked me! Yippie! |
| Brian | (reply to Zang) posted 9-Nov-2001 9:39am Well, there are some qualifiers like...how well do you cook? |
| Zang | (reply to Brian) posted 9-Nov-2001 9:48am Very well. Also, I was a Boy Scout, and I recently re-read "How To Stay Alive In The Woods" by Bradford Angier. |
| Zang | (reply to Brian) posted 9-Nov-2001 9:52am I also have prior "Island in the Indian Ocean" experience. I've been to Phuket, Penang, Java and Bali. |
| Brian | (reply to Zang) posted 9-Nov-2001 10:00am SOLD! Now all we need is a couple of persons of our preferred gender...and stop lookin' at my butt! |
| Oscar | (reply to Brian) posted 9-Nov-2001 11:20am Is that what you are? A sluto? My apologies. I'll make sure I get my terminology right next time. |
| Brian | (reply to Oscar) posted 9-Nov-2001 12:02pm Actually only on weekends, when I dress in a sheep costume and cruise the bars down by the docks... |
| Oscar | (reply to Brian) posted 9-Nov-2001 12:31pm sounds exciting |
| Brian | (reply to Oscar) posted 9-Nov-2001 1:46pm Not lately, with the anthrax scare and all... |
| Wookiewoman | posted 9-Nov-2001 2:23pm This is a really GREAT survey, but unfortunately I haven't been here long enough to get to know many people, so I don't know who I'd pick. |
| confetti | (reply to Brian) posted 9-Nov-2001 2:27pm Yeah, I know...we could get really down and dirty with that <--tdma |
| juliw | (reply to Brian) posted 9-Nov-2001 2:34pm Hope you had a nice vacation. As you know, I have been off work for a while on sick leave. But today, I went to lunch with a couple of my work friends, and stopped by the office to say hi to everybody. It was so nice to see everybody. But, I know once I actually go back to work, I'll be swamped, and it will be like I never left. |
| kaleb777 | (reply to Biggles) posted 9-Nov-2001 2:38pm Well the British have a military base on an island in the Indian Ocean, and there are some Australian territories in the Indian Ocean, although Cocos Is. and Christmas Is. are inhabited. The only uninhabited islands I know of are the Australian territories of HEard and MacDonald Islands which are both very cold down towards Antarctica. Oh yeah, Heard Island is volcanic and recently had an earthquake that was recorded in Perth WA that was estimated to be 8 on the Richter scale!!! |
| darkshadowsseeker | (reply to jkiehart) posted 9-Nov-2001 4:30pm Can you bring me a Coke or Pepsi? |
| jkiehart | (reply to darkshadowsseeker) posted 9-Nov-2001 6:26pm Oh, uh, sure, yeah, that's cool. Um, we all have to pitch in to help everyone out, right? *walks away mumbling* "Fetch this," "Fetch that," I KNEW there was an ulterior motive! |
| Biggles | (reply to Brian) posted 10-Nov-2001 7:48am lol Damn, I was relying on you too! |
| Biggles | (reply to kaleb777) posted 10-Nov-2001 8:03am I don't really fancy doing the shipwreck thing with earthquakes!! Although it would make life a bit more exciting! lol |
| Brian | (reply to juliw) posted 12-Nov-2001 6:17am Thanks. We did. |
| Brian | (reply to Biggles) posted 12-Nov-2001 6:24am If I were indiscreet, I would suggest that my diminished physic should not stand in the way of an occasional "nibble" here and there. But far be it from me... |
| Brian | (reply to confetti) posted 12-Nov-2001 6:30am Why whatever do you mean? |
| juliw | (reply to Brian) posted 12-Nov-2001 9:25am I'm glad. |

| Brian | (reply to confetti) posted 12-Nov-2001 10:57am Oh, that! (blushing profusely) |
| confetti | (reply to Brian) posted 12-Nov-2001 2:12pm Isn't it more like flushing? |
| Biggles | (reply to Brian) posted 12-Nov-2001 2:46pm I'll pass on that - unless you're made of chocolate.......? |
| Brian | (reply to confetti) posted 12-Nov-2001 3:14pm LOL |
| Brian | (reply to Biggles) posted 12-Nov-2001 3:16pm Ahh...(blushing)...how shall I say this...ahh...parts of me...ahhh...have been covered in chocolate...ahh...more than once...(avoiding her gaze) |
| Biggles | (reply to Brian) posted 12-Nov-2001 4:08pm Are they still covered with chocolate or did the chocolate, um, "remove" itself? |
| darkshadowsseeker | (reply to jkiehart) posted 13-Nov-2001 3:39pm dog dog dog! (now stop yer grumbling and get my GD soda!) |
| jkiehart | (reply to darkshadowsseeker) posted 13-Nov-2001 9:40pm LOL |
| Brian | (reply to Biggles) posted 14-Nov-2001 2:45pm You can answer that question for yourself, if you peek in my pants. |
| Biggles | (reply to Brian) posted 14-Nov-2001 4:45pm Oh wait, you call trousers pants! When I think of pants, I think of underpants! |
| Brian | (reply to Biggles) posted 15-Nov-2001 8:08am Whatever...> |

| cody | posted 22-Nov-2001 5:45pm Hmm... How about... Kristal-Rose, whom I most acutely appreciate. Jemmy, whom I don't mind. Not in the least. And... hmm... well... God... if I had to settle... Romkey. He seems like he has some stories to tell. |
| Biggles | (reply to Dino) posted 23-Nov-2001 5:09am Why curious? And who is David? |
| Wicksy | (reply to Biggles) posted 23-Nov-2001 7:32am I think he meant Brian W |
| Biggles | (reply to Wicksy) posted 23-Nov-2001 8:54am Ah, of course! |
| Dino | (reply to Biggles) posted 23-Nov-2001 9:23am Ach. I'm not in the mood for dishing out compliments today. As far as David W is concerned I am confused. I may have been in a parallel universe. I could have sworn he existed. Hang on let me investigate. |
| Biggles | (reply to Dino) posted 23-Nov-2001 10:01am Survey Central in a parallel universe......? Hmm, would that be the SC where sex and monkeeees are never mentioned? What sort of a messed up universe is that!? |
| Dino | (reply to Biggles) posted 23-Nov-2001 10:08am Considering its 3.05pm Friday afternoon since I last checked the replies and it wasn't here 10 minutes ago......... Shouldn't you be busy doing Chemistry or whatever you're trying to get your head around. |
| Biggles | (reply to Dino) posted 23-Nov-2001 12:01pm No, I'm off school ill today |
