I'm swimming around in this ocean of gelatinous purple slime. Sort of like grape JELL-O that hasn't fully set. I can't see land or anything on the horizon. Every once and a while I encounter an enormous starfish. Just about as big as I am. They aren't stuck to rocks or anything, they are suspended in the gelatin like they can neither sink nor float. After a while, I begin to hear this strange discordant music. Long sustaining chords, gradually shifting. The sound was sort of like bells, but really more like a wind instrument. After listening to this music for some time it really starts to get creepy. I'm wondering where it is coming from. Then I notice that there is an outcropping of rocks in the distance. On the rocks, there is a group of these strange women. They all look very similar. Long gold hair, quite fat, nude, yellow skin, no body hair, weird faces...like rolls of fat. They are sunning themselves on the rocks. Then I realise that the music is coming from them. I think of the old sea legend about "Harpies". I don't really remember what the significance is. I just think "DANGER!!!" I'm trying to swim away, but it is very difficult. I can hear the music getting louder and louder as if they are pursuing me.

I remember about 5+ each night, no need in going into them.
My boyfriend says I am a wreck when I sleep. As far as I know I sleep like a rock, but he says I laugh, roll around, talk, sit up and all that stuff... guess I've got a little world of my own going on while I sleep.

There was a terrorist attack on a small town. After the dust had settled, I searched for survivors. I found two young children alone in a house. I went into their mother's bedroom and found a bag of marijuana and a vial of cocaine, and was really mad. I cooked the kids supper, and took care of them. Then the mother came home. She was upset because she needed to make a phone call and pay some bills. The kids were in the bedroom, she didn't even ask about them. I said angrily, "Oh, whenever you feel like it, you can ask me if your kids are alive or not." She looked up from the phone and said politely, "Okay!" Then I woke up.

Surreal. I was with Rob and Sandy, my dog at Coney Island, but not the present-day, awful Coney Island--the one of sixty years gone by, in freakin' black and white, man. Everyone was black and white and dressed in old-fashioned clothes and hair-styles. We kept wading out to the ocean but the ocean was too hot to wade in...

tonight's dreams :
1) Being attacked by a laughing girl with a pair of scissors.she puts them next to my neck, but then she retreats them without hurting, then I turn my back to her and suddenly I'm attacked by a dozen other people laughing and jumping around me.They all have scissors and pierce everywhere. From my body starts to flow a mix of red red blood and cotton (the same kind you find in dolls and stuffed animals),I fall and they suck blood from my open sores.I must say that wasn't a bad dream.
2)We are in the future,I'm a girl that's done something illegal with babies (like getting pregnant without public consent or a written paper from the government...these kind of things).I have to walk on a metal structure and when different scenes on several screens appear to me I have to match a phrase with the image.Phrases I actually (in the dream I mean) pronounce are "good morning" and "hello" (these in italian sound like "buongiorno" and "salve") the later said to a picture of a little blond girl sitting at a table (not a real person, more like a cartoon).I have to push a sequence of red and green buttons that gets more and more complicated every time.I fail the last test and when I go down from the metal structure I "give birth" to a child looking like a doll that falls on the ground with a "thud".It falls from me without any effort from my part, full of white mucus.I know he's (or she, don't know the sex)dead, because I haven't passed the test.
Then (and that's maybe "another" dream)I'm the girl boyfriend that gets mad at seeing her child and woman (is she dead too? seems so.anyway she is not there anymore) killed and attacks a fat policewoman with a knife, and is carried away to prison.
Here I stop and leave you meditating on my dreams.I dream a lot and remember my dreams a lot and they are all complicated and weird like that.

On the morning of Sept. 11 I was having a dream about dining on an upper floor of a tall building, with the cast of Frasier. Then I went downstairs (basement) and saw someone selling magazines with a plane crash victim on the cover. The basement had a ramp up to street level, and it appeared to be NYC.

I was awakened by my husband telling me about the attacks, and found it kind of freaky. Then I found out about the executive from Frasier being on one of the planes, and found it freakier.

It was really odd. Last night I dreamt that I had made some joke, and Pomeranian was the only one who got it. Everyone else was all mad at me and didn't understand that I was just making a joke. Then I called a friend of mine a stupid ugly chicken and stormed off, and suddenly I was walking up this twisty, root-and-vine-strewn path to my college dorm. A friend's cat was walking through the hall. I bumped into the friend I had insulted and apologized. Somewhere in all of this there was another cat, on my papasan, in the back yard of the house I grew up in, and the cat looked like she was about to give birth. My vet showed up and checked her and it turned out the cat wasn't pregnant. Then the vet came inside and I introduced him around. I don't remember the rest of the dream, but I'm pretty sure there was more.

I just had a dream during my nap today that I was walking to my favorite bar here. Distracted, I walked too far up Queens Boulevard, and found myself in front of a gorgeous nature reserve. There were streams, and shaded walks, and I figured I could cut through it to get to the bar. There were people sitting on benches reading, there were ivy-covered trellises overhead, there was a large, secluded, gated mansion on the grounds as well.
The farther in I walked, the muddier I got. I was wearing shorts and white shoes and was very mad that my new white shoes were getting muddy. The mud was the kind of mud that's like heavy clay, and it smelled bad, like sulfer.
I notice now that, while I'm still in "nature," I see a very high chain-link fence on either side of the path now, and this makes me uneasy. It looks more like NYC now, with bits of trash everywhere, etc. There are no people anywhere, which I find odd, as well.
I come around a turn, and there is a great rushing river in front of me, but it doesn't look very deep, it looks like I might be able to cross it. Thinking that it won't be so bad, I can wash off all the stinky mud, I start in, but it's like quicksand, and I can't cross it.
I really don't want to turn away, I've come so far, and I know my goal is 400 yards over the river (and through the woods).
I feel dread as I turn around to go back, and as I start back, I see the reason for the fence. On the other side of the flimsy chain-link fence is a mother black bear tending to her cub. She sees me immediatly, and goes into a rage. I'm stuck, I'm so stuck. There's no way I can cross the river, and a black bear is charging me.
I turn around so that I won't have to see her coming at me, and I think, "This is it. This is how I'm going to die. They will find my body horribly mauled." Right when I felt her come up behind me, I woke up, VERY happy to be on my couch.

I was a journalist and I was being sent by my paper to interview Anthony Hopkins, shortly after the release of the film 'Hannibal'. (Conveniently he was staying at the holiday home situated just up the road from where I used to live). As I was going thorugh the various questions, I noticed that he seemed to be flicking in and out of a variety of different 'personas'. This continued and increased in speed until it just stopped and he seemed stuck in 'Hannibal Lector' mode. It then dawned on me that I wasn't interviewing Anthony Hopkins but rather Hannibal the Cannibal himself. I took off down the road in fright (and fear of being eaten) and got to my house where my Mother was watching TV. Whilst I was hiding behind the chair she was sitting on, I was trying to convince her that we had to run away but she was having none of it. The dream ended as Hannibal and a few other memebers of his family that he had picked up along the way burst through my front door.

There were boxes everywhere and people wandering around packing up giant statues and pieces of art and huge candlesticks made out of wrought iron. bill and jen were there....popping those sheets of packing bubbles. lion was asleep in an overstuffed chair and someone was trying to wrap the chair up with brown paper while he was still in it. romkey was cooking. He asked me to roll his two cats up in an oriental rug for safe transfer to the new home.

My dreams are too abstract to describe what's happening, usually. The last one that made any sense was about war. I was in this destroyed building (or half destroyed?) and Osama's people (that group-forgot the name) and the Taliban were guarding all over the bottom so people couldn't get out. Some helicopters came and got us though. Pretty weird. I have different dreams all night because I wake up a lot, so usually they are very short. Geez, and I thought I was busy! I've had to work 5 or 6 ten-hour days the last couple weeks, but it sounds like you've got me beat. The overtime is nice, but there's no time to spend the extra money! How long do you have to keep up the long hours? That's not a permanent thing, is it?

I know!!! & I'm WAY older than you too. Shoots,I'll be 50 next September.
They say we'll be pulling this kind of over time, until after the holidays. * frown *
I don't think I'll be able to last. I still have that on going medical problem I told you about.(Plus,David wants me to quit,he says the job is killing me.) It's been 6 & a half weeks now,I'm supposed to get my results back, sometime this week,I'm still waiting...........

Gotta go to bed now or I'll never make it to work.I'll talk to you more tomorrow night.(((((((hugs))))))

I've got good news......I quit working at MIlgard Windows.

Last night was the last straw.I woke up at 3:50am started work at 5am & (get this) got off work at 9:20pm.

I QUIT!!!! No job making ANY amount of money is worth killing myself over.I've still got that medical problem too.Plus,I got hurt on the job last night, while working in the pitch dark.My knee has a huge knot on it & is turning a pretty shade of purple.
Yesterday alone,I made $216.00.I haven't even totaled my 2 weeks pay yet,to the $216.00 I made yesterday. It's gonna be astronomical (for me) I've never made this much money,at any job before. It's gonna be a phat check, but you know what?? At this rate,I'll be dead, before I even get to spend it. * frown *
Gotta call my OBGYN in a few minutes.I've missed you guys & I'm glad to be back at SC again.

I am once again,a happy camper. * smile *

I think it's for the best that you quit. It's just not worth it. Too bad they made you work so much overtime. That is just insane. Like the Billy Joel song:

"He's tradin' in his Chevy for a Cadillac...
And if he can't drive with a broken back
At least he can polish the fenders"

Yeah,at least I have my finances are in order now. * smile *

I'll be searching the net for cheap tickets(from Hawaii to Los Angels)for my older daughter & my middle grandchild,to fly out here to visit during the XMAS vacation.Hopefully the prices aren't too high.(sigh)

My gosh,I slept a good part of the day yesterday, just catching up on my sleep.I'm glad it's Saturday,I get to REALLY kick back & enjoy the rest of the weekend. * smile *
I love Billy Joels music.I guess the guy has lived a rough life,to have written music that others can relate to.But yeah, your right, what good is a Caddy if you can't enjoy it?
You know what Sue?? I don't regret all the money I could've been making in the near future.& it's a lot.
I pretty much have ALL I really need.It was all right here, under my nose, all this time,I just never knew it. * smile * Life is good!& I'm feeling really blessed right now. * smile * I have friends like you guys,a fabulous family,a roof over my head, food in my tummy, clothe on my back,& my health.Yep life is very good. * wink *

I had a dream that I was really small, (not a kid, a little miniature person, a few inches tall) and I was looking through a big glass window that seemed to be a magnifying glass or a screen that sent me close-up shots. I was watching some people who had stuff breaking around them. (Lamps, clocks, exploding computers etc) There were bigger than normal people catching little pieces of the things, so it wouldn't land on anyone.

No, because they are forces above your control doing everything. All you get to do is watch. Even getting some sort of little prayers answered would make you feel more participant than victim.

I've been having repeated dreams of this old house with lots of rooms.Every time I have it, there's a different scenario to it. One time there was a secret room that I found. Another time there was a room full of stuff I found. There's a lot more involved but I can't remember it all now.
