| gilly | posted 2-Sep-1998 9:14am I don't actually remember. I think this might have happened in high school once, but my memory of it is very vague, and it may have been my sister who sent it to me to make me feel good, or it may have happened to someone else and I incorporated it into my memories. |

| lara | posted 2-Sep-1998 12:15pm one valentine's day, someone left a recording of "strangers in the night" on my answering machine. i never did figure out who it was. |
| Resy | posted 2-Sep-1998 3:21pm No 'gift giving pranks' ... our office does a yearly Secret Santa exchange where you leave a small token for the 10 work days before Christmas and then we meet and try to guess who our Secret Santa was. The tokens are supposed to give you clues to the identity of the person who drew your name. Always quite amusing when the dept. VP got involved! |

| anonymous | posted 2-Sep-1998 8:23pm Long story short...I once recieved a "secret admirer" note, that was rather creepy...I figured out who it was, and it turned out that the note was a kind of trap; the person thought I had sent *them* a note, and was trying to psyche me out. Though I am not sure the original culprit was unmasked, it did make for a rather exciting mystery. |
| Mimi | posted 3-Sep-1998 10:08pm I would just die laughing thinking someone was playing a joke on me. At this stage in my life with a long, long marriage, I can't think of anything funnier. |
| anonymous | posted 4-Sep-1998 6:46am Yes, and I told Mr. Clinton to take it back. |
| lizzie | posted 4-Sep-1998 9:22am A friend of my roommate decided to play a joke on me by sending me cards from a "secret admirer". My roommate was very evasive about the whole thing, so I was able to figure out who it was in about 2 weeks. The whole experience was a little weird. anonymous: touche |
