| BrightBlue | posted 25-Oct-2001 5:43pm Why not? |
| kaleb777 | posted 25-Oct-2001 5:57pm Variety, prices, easy. I shop for things that aren't available in local stores, or to take advantage of international exchange rates and buy things that work out cheaper, even including postage, that they would be from a store down the road. |
| spidertea | posted 25-Oct-2001 7:25pm I buy pet supplies in bulk off the internet because it's cheap. Sometimes I buy clothes off the internet because the stores in my town are not very diverse. |
| daver | posted 25-Oct-2001 7:35pm McMaster-Carr and MSC have made my life so much easier. |
| Maarten | posted 25-Oct-2001 7:46pm Shopping online sucks. Just the other day I tried to order a NY Yankees fleece. Price: $70,- P&P: $80,- I THINK NOT ! ! ! ! |
| Zang | posted 25-Oct-2001 8:04pm I've only bought things that weren't available elsewhere. |
| jkiehart | posted 25-Oct-2001 8:06pm I don't, only because I don't have a credit card. But I would for the convenience and the fast ability to check prices from company to company. I would buy really cheap cigarettes! |
| Matt | posted 25-Oct-2001 8:33pm I've only bought concert tickets on the internet. |
| jettles | posted 25-Oct-2001 9:22pm easier to find things and the ease of having things delivered to my house or to someone elses house! |
| Enheduanna | posted 25-Oct-2001 9:46pm No people; quicker. |
| heyzeus1 | posted 25-Oct-2001 9:46pm i don't |
| mandy | posted 25-Oct-2001 9:51pm There are some things you can "only" find, with ease, on the net.... There are things I find ...uh...easier to buy from the privacy of my home...in a plain brown wrapper... I find prices are better at times and NO SALES TAX! There are certain places I like to buy things from that don't have retail stores close to my home...or that carry a limited supply of things in the retail shop and have an expanded catalogue online... speed and convenience matter too... |
| confetti | posted 25-Oct-2001 10:12pm I never shop on the Net. I'd feel like an idiot. Besides, I hate shopping so much I might as well go with the whole experience; crowded malls, sipping sugary lattes, escalators. |
| anoddoblivion | posted 26-Oct-2001 12:24am I don't shop on the net. |
| Biggles | posted 26-Oct-2001 7:13am The only time I shop online is in auctions - best way to get Biggles books |
| autumnlight | posted 26-Oct-2001 8:26am I dont shop on the net |
| autumnlight | posted 26-Oct-2001 8:28am oooooh, actually I have bought National Express tickets online. |

| Jemmy | posted 26-Oct-2001 11:35am I can't, I haven't got a credit card. |
| icurok | posted 26-Oct-2001 12:26pm I buy all my music CDs, and increasingly, computer games on the web now. It's cheaper than the high street, the range is better, and the delivery in a lot of cases is free. I use my works address and get the stuff delivered to my desk. It's easy. I've also booked festival tickets over the net. |
| msgman | posted 26-Oct-2001 3:54pm I buy things like CDs, books and software because it's often cheaper and more convenient. I get a lot of CDs from the US, because even with shipping it's a lot cheaper than UK prices. |
| darkshadowsseeker | posted 26-Oct-2001 4:07pm I don't! |
| sequel | posted 26-Oct-2001 5:54pm Less time-consuming. |
| LindaH | posted 27-Oct-2001 7:36pm The few times I ordered things, it was because I couldn't find them anywhere else. I guess doing a whole lot of shopping on the net would have it's advantages: avoiding crowds, avoiding lines and not having to talk to people. |
| Cleo | posted 28-Oct-2001 1:22am I don't! David won't give me his CC. |
| mandy | posted 28-Oct-2001 2:31am I shop on the internet because our President wants me to shop... |
| SueBee | posted 28-Oct-2001 11:24pm Convenience. |
| Gamera | posted 29-Oct-2001 5:55pm I like to shop at 4am, and buy strange, obscure things. I also like buying used goods when it's reasonable, and there's a huge selection of used stuff on the net that's harder to find locally sometimes. |
| Gamera | (reply to Maarten) posted 29-Oct-2001 5:57pm Use the other kind of internet shopping- drop me some email telling what you want, and I can buy it and post it to you and you can post me a check. |
| Maarten | (reply to Gamera) posted 30-Oct-2001 10:14am Really? Wow, that would be so cool! Thanks, I'll remember that. |
| phi | posted 30-Oct-2001 9:45pm the internet is open at all hours of the day and night shopping on the internet is faster |
