| dpolicar | posted 27-Aug-1998 1:39pm How about a "I have no idea" option? SC is getting mad at me for not choosing an answer, but... |
| daver | posted 27-Aug-1998 1:52pm And this is relevant to me in what way? **jjg: OK, despite my doging, I'm curious...what is it? |
| lisashea | posted 27-Aug-1998 2:13pm I'm not sure but I know it is WAYYYYY too much so I voted high. |
| dab | posted 27-Aug-1998 3:11pm The question is do I know. The answer is I do not. |
| steve | posted 27-Aug-1998 3:34pm The answer to your question is "No." |
| reality | posted 27-Aug-1998 4:02pm how about 'no I have no clue and I don't feel like guessing, I know it is bad for me because I have a health conscious friend who heckles me at every opportunity.' or even a choice of 'I don't care how many calories it has, it is tasty, so quite bugging me.' did you hit a nerve? maybe.... |
| jjg | posted 27-Aug-1998 4:23pm ***Daver: approximately 1500 calories. ***dpolicar: then guess, it won't hurt you. ***Dab / steve: thhppbttt |
| seven | posted 27-Aug-1998 5:00pm Too many |
| Mimi | posted 27-Aug-1998 5:07pm I know it's bad, but not how bad. I picked the highest number for that reason. |
| milktree | posted 27-Aug-1998 5:55pm That is totally revolting. I used to be able to eat that much fat in one sitting, but .. ugh, not anymore. I still eat a fairly large amount of calories compared to the mostly bogus US RDA of 2000/day, but I have a pretty high metabolism. |
| emily | posted 27-Aug-1998 6:57pm I just guessed. I used to know. McDonalds had a booklet available that had nutritional information on all the products they sold. I was surprised to find they weren't as bad as I thought they would be. |
| seth | posted 27-Aug-1998 7:55pm Where's the option for "no"? |
| BadtzMaru | posted 28-Aug-1998 12:19am I thought it was more than that. But then, I don't know jack about calories. |
| lelle | posted 28-Aug-1998 9:52am *** bill: actually, the 360 calories is for a small shake... Figure about triple that for a large (I'm not sure if the shake sizes are the same as their soft drink sizes) and you're heading for 2000 kcal. |
| Timmi | posted 28-Aug-1998 10:49am Where's the "I don't know", or better "I don't care", option? |
| elijahblue | posted 28-Aug-1998 6:11pm *bill: something is wrong in your calculations about the shakes. A gram of fat is 9 calories. If something has 80g of fat (as you say the small shake has), it has to have at *least* 720 calories...yeah, I checked your link, it should be 80 calories from fat, not 80 grams. The small shake has 9 grams of fat. |
| phi | posted 28-Aug-1998 7:38pm No, I don't. |
| Resy | posted 29-Aug-1998 12:44pm too many, but i don't know exactly ... probably a days worth |
| eris | posted 2-Sep-1998 8:16pm But it was a yes or no question! Anyway, I can't abide the shakes. Those things are NASTY! |
| bill | posted 2-Sep-1998 9:58pm A Big Mac is 560 calories and 31g fat; Large French Fries is 450 calories and 22g fat; Large Shake 1080 cals and 27g fat(*). Total 2090 calories and 80g fat. (This information furnished by http://www.mcdonalds.com/food/nutrition/index.html ) * We're assuming a large shake equals 3 smalls (a Small Shake is 360 cals, 9g fat) lelle, elijahblue thanks for the corrections. |
| eloradanan | posted 8-Jun-2006 1:35pm I don't know for certain, but probably a day's worth. |
| clare | posted 6-Aug-2006 12:51am I don't eat at McDonald's, so I don't care either way. |
