Most rainbows I have seen have been a message. They have appeared right as I was seeking some inspiration. Truly an amazing way to get the answers I needed. |

Peaceful, grateful and happy. I love rainbows, they are beautiful. |

we have rain with the sun out quite often in florida and the rainbows always make me smile. |
| juliw |
I don't really think much about it. If I am in the car when I see it, I usually make a comment about the rainbow to the other people in the car, Once, I was on an airplane, headed for Florida, and saw the top of a rainbow jutting out through the clouds. I thought that was pretty cool. |

i have ticked more than one answer because a rainbow gives me a variety of feelings. |

Nothing in particular. I think, "Hey. A rainbow." |

Ok I guess.... |

I feel hope when I see rainbows. I also have intense memories of being a toddler and racing over these green, empty hills in Ireland, trying to grasp a rainbow between my fingers. |

Happy & peacful.....Makes me wanna run right out & take a picture of it,if it's really close. |

At my uncel's farm, I saw two full rainbows- one right under the other. The sky was bright blue. Underneath them, I could see trees, pastures and horses. I felt like I was in a postcard. |

Rainbows usually leave me feeling good. I enjoy natural phenomena a lot... |

I think of God every time. That's what the rainbows for though. To remind us that God won't flood the earth. |

Those are the two that I checked. Happy & peaceful. |

"Pleased" probably describes it best. I was out on the truck at work the other day and we turned the corner and saw one between the buildings straight ahead. I said "Oh look! A rainbow!". Somethings like that put me back into that state of "child-like wonder". Even though I understand scientifically how they are created, they are still "magical". No, I'm not a flake. Really! |

Thanks! I have your money in an envelope all addressed and everything. I've just got to steal a stamp from work and it will be on it's way. |

I would think it was an optical trick, designed to distract people, so the tricksters can snatch people's wallets. |

LOL Great theory! |

Amazed, curious, happy, hopeful, inspired and peaceful. I know what causes rainbows but I have been taken in by the lore of the phenomenon. I think that "fascinated" should have been part of the options... |

Frankly, confetti; I'm starting to think that either; A) you are NOT 14 B) that your father is some kind of diplomat or businessman that travels a lot C) or you're bulls h i t t ing You say you come from California, you now live in Costa Rica, you mentioned living in New England, you mentioned living somewhere in South America where the maid had you drink human blood, you wear Madonna's discarded clothes and now you're talking about recollections of Ireland??? All of this in 14 years??? I have an open mind and I have met many people from all walks of life, but NONE have had such a varied life as yours! Wassup?? Gimme some answers (also for those that wonder the same thing and respond to you anonymously - and it ain't me!)! |
| confetti | | (reply to Irene007) posted 12-Oct-2001 10:58am |
Christ, I just did my bio at school and now again. I was born in California. My parents, having the opportunity and knowing a lot of people world-wide, wanting to expose me to different cultures and for me to learn lots of languages, have taken me to many places around the world from the time I was two years old, namely in South America, but also in Europe, Asia and Africa. I was home-schooled by a teacher, my mother wrote novels, and my father was a plastic surgeon who took a lot of leaves of absence because he hates his job. We lived in New England for awhile, when my mother's book had been published, and then my parents decided to take me to live in some peaceful, tranquil little Third-World country. I was ten at the time. The one they pick? Costa Rica. I was placed in public school, mastered a perfect Spanish, and here I am. We've travelled some during the time I've been here, but my parents really want me to get a steady education. The maid I had was during the time we lived in Guatemala. Madonna's discarded pants were picked up at a sweaty auction in California, and they're legit. Why do you doubt my age? |

I'll take option C please |
Irene007 | | (reply to confetti) posted 13-Oct-2001 12:21am |
Ok confetti, if that is your life, than it's no wonder that you are so mature for your age! So option "B" was close enough... You should consider yourself very lucky to have such parents; I remember a reference that you made about never forgiving your parents for what they did to you. For all of us on the outside of your life, we have to wonder what you can be possibly referring to... You're either referring to abuse of some kind or having been totally spoiled (another subtle reference you made about your friends having only been driven around in Mercedes!) I can't judge; I don't know... I'll write you personally over the weekend (I thought about you all day!). I have to add that I'm pleased to see that other users of SC who regularly come to your rescue, have not come down my throat... I realize now that they just don't appreciate anonymous answers, nor do I or else I could have capitalized on "anonymous" for this comment. (by the way - I got a reply from anonymous regarding this!) It shows me that the users know that you are quite capable of answering for yourself (as you have) and I'm pleased. I'll talk to ya later! |
| confetti | | (reply to Irene007) posted 13-Oct-2001 11:02am |
I guess 'never forgiving them' was the wrong thing to say, because I've come to grips that that is how they are: overdone, superficial, oiled up...etc. I love them, but I can't become a permanent part of their life anymore. |
Irene007 | | (reply to confetti) posted 13-Oct-2001 12:05pm |
OK (Irene helps confetti pull her foot out of her mouth...) |
