My best friend, Melanie, in 3rd grade (8 years old). I remember sitting on her front porch talking and wanting to hold her hand.

Remember? Paula Crow. Damn, she's the most beautiful girl (the most beautiful thing, for that matter) I've ever seen and still know of in existence. Nothing matches her. Also, once I got to know her, she was the nicest person at my school I knew of. She was so friekin' nice, she knew I had the biggest crush on her, and when I found out she didn't like me back like so, she was still the best friend a man could ever have! Most girls would be like, "He likes me, get away from me, eww!". Not here. She was my friend. My best friend! She was just WoW in every aspect imaginable. Man I wish I knew were she was, or how to contact her. That would be so cool.

My best friend's sister.

my neighbor who lived across the street from me while I was growing up. He is /was much older than me, but I just "loved" him...I was only about 4 or 5 when my infatuation started. Even today, even though I'm married and have a child now, my knees still shake whenever i see him, which isn't very often. In fact, my "best friend" is thinking about moving in w/ him...i said to my bud that i guess that I'll never see where he lives!

as a child, i think it was either one of my teachers(4th grade teacher) or a second cousin's wife, who i thought was beautiful and very nice. the teacher is still a friend of my aunt to this day and when i happen to see my 4th grade teacher (once every couple of years or so)i still become tongue tied.......it is rather funny.
in my late teens to adulthood, my first real feeling of strong attraction was to my first girlfriend/lover.........

It depends in what sense you mean. I was attracted to all the people who were my friends early on for various reasons, but I imagine that isn't what you mean?

In that case, I had little crushes I suppose throughout junior school but nothing like what most of the girls around me seemed to be feeling. I really wasn't all that bothered......I'm still not particularly bothered.

So the answer, is no-one really, yet. Except, maybe..........

From real people there was that guy four years older than me. He was tall with long black curly hair. I wasn't the only one that though about his in that way...

Whoops! I accidentally deleted my comment, and by the time I came back to type it back in, you had already replied to me. So, in a nutshell, James, a really handsome boy in my first grade class. He really did look about 14, and wore sport coats and ties to school everyday. I had to stay after school for holding hands with him at recess, because he was "colored", and back in 1961, little white kids were not allowed to be friends with the "colored" people, I guess.

I remember *saying* I was attracted to some people just because that was what my sister was doing it and I wanted to be just like her.
The first person I was really attracted to was Dustin Senella. We went to school together from Kindergarten to 2nd grade. I was so upset when he didn't come back for 3rd grade.

I was probably when I was four. It was a much older cousin whom I envisioned as a sort of modern incarnation of the queen of the silver wood elves.
When I was 6 their was a gal, Sheila, who gave me stuffed valentine dog.
When I was 7, I was brought to the principals office for my barrage of love poems and such to Lori Phoneci (the little red headed girl).
When I was it 6th grade I started dating 8th grader girls.

When I was twelve, I remember sleeping over at my older cousin's house. He had this U2 poster, circa their "Joshua Tree" album time, and he told me that that was the music that was playing on the radio when I was born. I remember looking for the first time at the young, good-looking 30-ish Bono and just savoring him. That's pretty creepy, I guess, for a kid so young, but all of you know, by now, just how promiscuous I am. Whenever I see the "Where the streets have no name" video I get sucked into this weird dimension thing. He looks so freaking great there *sighs*

I remember having what I identified as "crushes" on a boy named Jay, and a girl named Rebecca, when I was in first grade (age 5 - 6). I also remember somehow "knowing" on some level that I had to hide my feelings for Rebecca, but that it was "okay" to like Jay. I remember telling my older sister that I didn't understand why it mattered so much if someone was boy or a girl if you liked them, her saying "oh, you will," and my thinking that I was somehow different from her. (She's straight, I'm bi).

Well, to be fair, if I was in first grade, my sister would have been in third fourth grade- but still, she would have been exposed to a lot of "taking it for granted" in order to feel that way.

My best friend in the 4th grade was a beth. Since she was a girl, I suppose I didn't even realize it at the time, though we spent all our recesses talking to each other. She was very smart. I've had crushes on a couple other beth's since then. I did have one crush on a HS teacher. I even illuminated some Erica Jong poetry for her. I've had plenty of crushes on college teachers, but except at off campus parties, they're off limits.
