Are you a goody-goody?

I didn't know that was the meaning of "goody goody". I thought a goody goody was something like a dork that never does anything against the rules.

No. People who feel they need to change their personality to look superior to others distress me.

Not at all. I try to be a good person, but I am well aware of my faults and shortcomings. With me, pretty much what you see is what you get. I am not two faced. but I do try to spare the feelings of others.

NO! I'm way too cynical for that.

I had a co-worker that thought that everyone was cute, no matter how stupid the comment that they made, it invoked her "he's so cute" comment. Everyone had justifiable reasons for screwing up. Everyone had a right to their faults and etc... I called her a "tree-huger"! So she named her hard drive on our network "esoterictreehuginguser" (the esoteric part comes from her early efforts to design everything with a message that only the "artist" could interpret!") This same person has so much difficulty in making the simplest of decisions; when we go out to lunch, as I give my order to the waitress, I (seemingly joking) tell the waitress that my friend will give her order next week. I AM exaggerating of course, though she does order only by the time my main course is served! She thinks that her quirks (of which she is well aware of) are funny and cute, I don't think she knows how exasperating she can be to others. Maybe if she stopped thinking about all of the poor souls in the world, and considered the people immediately around her, her life would be simpler.... Ours too! She's a great person, with much talent but too much consideration for unnecessary things... I consider HER a goody-goody.

And YES Papyrus, if you should find the time to visit this site eventually...I know that you will recognize yourself! (and me!)

People sometimes think I am because I am pure of heart and mind and soul and whatever or however the saying goes, then they will see me at a party. Well, I only go to parties whenever my friends really want me to and I know it will just be my closest friends, then I don't engage in any of the uncueth activities that they do sometimes and I don't drink a drop (ever, for that matter). I am usually stuck to the pool table, TV, video games, or a chair in the corner of the room, as to stay away from all the weirdos that my show up.
See, I am even a "good" boy when at places that bring out the worse in us.

But I do kind of fit the above definition.......- people are beginning to learn I'm not as sweet and innocent as I sometimes appear, I'm sure it's just in comparison to *some* people!

I've always been a goody-goody. People hated me in high school for it I think. I can't help it though. I look nice and innocent, but I have a sure-fire wild side!

Everyone? Not likely. I'm sure there are some people who see me that way. I'm polite. I have fairly high moral standards for myself. I do good works. I'm generous, kind and caring. But I can be a little naughty now and then...

I was a goody goody at school but not at all anymore.

I study, garden and talk to you guys on SC. When I go to work guys ask me about who I screwed on the weekend and women giggle when I talk (I tend to swear a lot) and tell me how naughty I am but won't leave me alone. I must put out some rough persona. I'm really a home body, although I did get up to some nasty stuff during my 20's. I've calmed down a lot. Maybe people get the vibe that I'm 'world weary' and jaded, and think that if I am this way at 32, I must be constantly partying or something.

Somehoe I get the impression you do everything people think you do, and more! >

Don't be world-weary! You're only 32. You must have got a good 35 years left at least if you continue your "home body" lifestyle!
