The CEO of a woodchipping firm that has been chipping old growth forests. Just be in the forest with them and hope that they would see its value.

Anyone. I love being in the woods walking along trails, woods that aren't all sickly looking.

The survey made me think of John Muir (?) who took Roosevelt camping in Yosemite (and it then became a National Park) so my idea wasn't entirely original! But, thank you!

So the other night my boyfriend and I are sitting on the porch, and this couple walks by and the little snippet of their conversation we hear goes like this:
"...she said when she's in the woods with a guy, she likes him to be quiet."
I want to walk through the forest with her.

I am currently working on a paper pulp mill project in Brazil. The client owes acres and acres of forest. Mostly eucalipus trees. The environmental involvement, concern and care it practices would set your mind at ease.

Of course, that involvement, concern and care is motivated by profit, but still it replants, cultivates and cares for its land and trees very very carefully.

It ain't the woodchippers ya really gotta worry about. It's the farmers who want to clear the land for agricultural crops.

I know lots of redwood groves, driftwood beaches, waterfalls, hotsprings, hidden high rock mountain skinny-dipping lakes, etc. Lets go. If I were going for pine it'd be mammoth or yosemite. Any near you?

I think it's both, although in South and Central America, the clearing for agriculture is certainly more serious than the problem of woodchipping in that area. In my country (Australia), old growth rainforest is being cleared for woodchips; so that's where my comments come from. There's plenty of cleared lands that could be used for plantations.
I must admit, I did transfer the question to an Australian context, because pine forests here are plantation growth, and I have a lot less problems with planting and harvesting trees as crops in that way.

Plenty! Don't forget, I do live in Oregon and you can't swing a cat without hitting a pine forest in my area. Of course, in Eastern Oregon you wouldn't find that many, but I live in Western Oregon.
