Since there are so many restaurants, I'm making this an essay question.

It's a toss up between two different types of restaurant. For Chinese-either the Great Wall or Gateway Chinese buffet (great potstickers & they don't use MSG) where you can watch the cooks cooking food for the buffet using woks over fire pits. The other place is a bar near where I work called Grouchos. They have the best fries. When you walk into work carrying a container of those fries you feel like the Pied Piper leading the children. Everyone tries to mooch a few fries from you. Their burgers are great too-not those thin little patties you get at a fast food restaurant, but a burger that is several inches thick. Sam (the cook) has a way of cooking it so that it's still juicy, but at the same time, thoroughly cooked through.

That's tough. I've eaten out a lot over the years, Vancouver has a large number of very good restaurants. "Hon's Won Ton" comes to mind, as does "The Only" and "The Noodle Express". It would be much easier to pick from a type of restaurant like "Best Chinese (Inexpensive)" or "Best Seafood (Expensive)" etc.

Got home at 4 a.m. Slept RIGHT THROUGH the luncheon at the Gonk. Crap, right? And DOROTHY PARKER'S GREAT-NIECES WHERE THERE. Sunday I skipped the walking tour because, you know, I live here. I never would have guessed Olive Garden was such a big chain. The one near us does a fabulous job. Really fresh salad on chilled plates, fabulous entrees that come to the table piping hot, and great service. I honestly had the best fettuccini alfredo ever at Olive Garden the other day. I don't think any restaurant's ever gotten it to the table for me that hot before, and the flavor was great. You know how you take a bite of food and just have to stop chewing and smile because it tastes so good? Yeah, it was REALLY good. I was happy! * smile *

Roy's Kahana Bar and Grill on Kihei, Maui in the state of Hawaii. This restaurant was so good that I am inspired to travel to every single one of them in the world (there are a few dozen in the Pacific Rim and up and down both U.S. coasts) and see if they are all as good as this one. The best dining experience of my entire life, all food was prepared quickly and expertly - of the highest quality ingredients, cooked to perfection, and balanced in flavor unlike anything else I have ever tasted (for example, mixing equal quantities of sweet and sour yet still being able to taste both sweet and sour simultaneously).

Zagat surveys rate them consistently above 26 out of 30 in the categories of atmosphere, cuisine, service, and price.

Where exactly did he grow up & what intermediate & high school did he attend? Tell him if he ever gets homesick for local Hawaiian foods,to tap this site, then scroll down till he sees the island on the left, relating to food. The recipes are to die for.Okay I'm getting hungry, just thinking about it.The site also has many cultural mainland events listed in your state.

Boston is a great city. It's not too big, but it's got pretty much all of the amenities. I've been here for most of about ten years. I'm getting a little tired of the New England architecture, though. Yearning for some nice, sprawling, single-storied California ranch-style houses, or some bungalows, or pretty much anything non-Victorian. It's definitely a town worth visiting, though.
