| daver | posted 18-Aug-1998 11:40pm Blech! |
| reality | posted 19-Aug-1998 8:54am I havne't eaten an oreo in years, so I picked I don't eat them... when I do eat them, I prefer dunking.. |
| gilly | posted 19-Aug-1998 9:18am Yay, Oreos are finally kosher! I'm no longer relegated to the second-class status of Hydrox. (I once brought a package of Hydrox to the ice cream counter in college and asked them to make me an Oreo Dream with them instead of the usual Oreos. It was delicious.) |
| milktree | posted 19-Aug-1998 10:27am I wish you could get "no-stuff" oreos. I like the cookie part alot more than the "stuff" part. I'm still a sucker for normal oreos though, with a glass of milk... mmmm.... |
| eris | posted 19-Aug-1998 10:40am I just eat the damned things - no particular way. Shouldn't there be an option for "I eat them in secret, but won't admit it in polite company"? |
| lisashea | posted 19-Aug-1998 11:35am I eat it together. Although sometimes I twist it apart and eat the cookie part first, then the cream-and-cookie part. |
| jcdino | posted 19-Aug-1998 11:54am However I feel like eating it. |
| RatQueen | posted 19-Aug-1998 12:41pm I eat the cookie like a sandwich, the way they're made--they fall apart if I try to pull them into two pieces. |
| jzp | posted 19-Aug-1998 12:45pm i apply a variety of eating methods depending on my feeling at that moment. |
| bill | posted 19-Aug-1998 1:40pm I pop the entire thing into my mouth and chew, this way no crumbs and lots of flavor. milktree, there are cookies like that - largish round wafers that have that Oreo cookieness to them, texture is a bit different though (and I can't remember their name). |
| steve | posted 19-Aug-1998 3:53pm I just bite them like a regular cookie. I used to twist them apart and eat the icing first, but then I realized that I didn't much like the cookie part by itself. I don't eat them often any more, since they're not actually very good. |
| jjg | posted 19-Aug-1998 3:53pm I twist it apart. Then I eat the side with the least amount of creme first, then the other side second. |
| Farmboy | posted 19-Aug-1998 7:41pm I don't eat Oreo's unless my bloodsuger bottoms out. Then I do my best Cookie Monster impersonation and eat entire sleeves. (alright, it's not THAT complex) |
| Mimi | posted 19-Aug-1998 8:08pm I haven't had an oreo cookie for probably 10 years, but when I ate them I ate them together. |
| elijahblue | posted 19-Aug-1998 8:13pm twist apart, scrape most of the icing (which I don't like that much) off, put back together, dunk. |
| emily | posted 19-Aug-1998 10:59pm If no one's watching I twist it apart and eat the frosting first. If someone's there I act like a grown up and just bite it. My favorite this to do is eat a whole package of them in the waiting room of the dentist just before I go in for a cleaning ;) (thank you Steven Wright) |
| lelle | posted 20-Aug-1998 8:58am Icky fake vaguely-chocolate-ish biscuits with chemicals-and-sugar slime between them? No thanks. |
| Jody | posted 20-Aug-1998 10:34am I twist it apart, then I twist another one apart. I eat the boring non-frosting cookie rounds, then sandwich the other frosting-bearing rounds to form a double-stuf, and eat that. If I'm working with double-stufs I get nauseatingly lardful quadruple-stufs this way! ***Aw c'mon, lelle - tell us how you REALLY feel ;)... |
| Artemis | posted 20-Aug-1998 7:39pm I only eat the icing then I give the rest to my friend who only eats the cookie. :) |
| Juliet | posted 21-Aug-1998 12:58pm Shouldn't Oreo be capitalized? |
| Atzilut | posted 21-Aug-1998 3:08pm Kill your processed packaged snackfood. HAH! something I can be sanctimonious about! (well, something ELSE anyway) |
| Resy | posted 21-Aug-1998 8:47pm nope, don't eat them ... i favor fig newtons and anything i make myself |
| lizzie | posted 24-Aug-1998 3:38pm I twist it apart, and alternate bites on the icing hanlf and the chocolate half, until I give up and shove the whole thing into my mouth. |
| Nemor | posted 25-Aug-1998 2:26am Have you ever noticed lots of Oreo's actually say orlo on them! |
| romkey | posted 25-Aug-1998 8:57am I don't really tend to eat packaged cookies anymore... once in a while I get some locally made cookies, but it tends to be either that or homemade (by me or friends). *** Juliet - and with a TM I think. |
| Citeon | posted 25-Aug-1998 7:07pm I don't buy oreo cookies, so if I'm eating them they are someone else's. Now, oreo eaters are often chocolate addicts, and chocolate addicts jealously guard their goods! So eating one usually involves grabbing a cookie while the proper owner has his/her back turned, and occasionally "nibbling" when they do it again. Of course, I can't simply chew it--that would be too obvious. So the little section of cookie must be forced into the corner of the mouth, where it can slowly disintegrate. |
| nbarone | posted 12-Sep-1998 12:29am if i have milk i dunk the oreo intact and munch. without milk, i twist it open, eat the creamless cookie in one chomp, and then slowly nibble the other (icing covered) half. |
| anonymous | posted 16-Sep-1998 3:26am i twist off one side, careful to make it a clean cut. eat the side with no icing. Then I carefully break the other one in half and fold it together, to make a double-stuffed oreo. I was doing that long before they came out with double-stuffed. |
