| confetti | posted 4-Aug-2001 12:56pm Yes, unless it's cheez whiz on a cracker or something. But my favorite kind of samples are cosmetic ones! There's just something oddly satisfying about all those little bottles and stuff. |
| mandy | posted 4-Aug-2001 2:23pm If it looks fresh and yummy ....even though I worry a tiny bit about contamination...I don't usually let that stop me |
| ilsam | posted 4-Aug-2001 3:57pm Yes. |
| SueBee | posted 4-Aug-2001 5:55pm I seldom try samples at the store because I can't help imagining all the other hands that have been digging around in there and that really grosses me out! If there's someone there cooking the samples and handing them out, I often avoid them because I don't want to have to listen to a sales pitch. I know a lot of people who really love food samples and will try just about anything. |
| kaleb777 | posted 4-Aug-2001 6:06pm No. I don't even use any of the self serve salad bars at the supermarket because I don't think it's hygienic. I don't even touch the handle on escalators - I'd never take food from a tray with people hovering over it. |
| juliw | posted 4-Aug-2001 6:57pm Yes. if it looks good. |
| iworshipblink | posted 4-Aug-2001 8:20pm samples are little...little food rawks my socks |
| NANNERMUFFlN | posted 4-Aug-2001 9:18pm Only if there's someone handing out the samples, then I can ask questions. "Are these cocktail weenies usually green and fuzzy?" Stuff like that. Seriously? I do like to be able to ask questions about the product. Having someone hand out the free samples is best, but only if they know something about the item. |
| romkey | posted 4-Aug-2001 10:55pm only when it's food that I'm interested in and I'm hungry |
| darkshadowsseeker | posted 5-Aug-2001 1:34am I only try samples attended by a person. I have a lot of allergies, so I am careful what I put in my mouth. I'm not concerned about contamination because the person giving out the samples has to wear gloves in the stores I go to. |
| ironart | posted 5-Aug-2001 8:41am 2 words...FREE FOOD. Work it right, you can have your whole dinner without paying a dime...or euro...or whatever... |
| jettles | posted 5-Aug-2001 8:44am no, i usually don't. most times it isn't something that i would eat normally. |
| Jemmy | posted 5-Aug-2001 3:39pm I love taking them if they look appealing. |
| Zang | posted 5-Aug-2001 6:02pm If I feel like it, I've never seen free samples unattended. If I did, I might be suspicious depending on what it was. I can't recall buying what was being offered more than once. |

| natsim | posted 5-Aug-2001 10:48pm I always try the food samples, but always feel like I have to buy it... not that I always do. We don't have unattended food samples in the places I shop at, so I don't know if I'd try them. |
| Cleo | (reply to SueBee) posted 6-Aug-2001 4:30am Took the words right out of my mouth.... |
| Brian | posted 7-Aug-2001 2:06pm Hey, that's how I had my lunch today. So, far this year, I figure I saved about $ 473.27. |
| southernyankee | posted 17-Sep-2001 10:44pm The worst that can happen(hopefully), it would taste bad and then I would have to get a free sample of something else to erase the taste. |
