When assisting companies with market research, do you prefer to fill in a questionnaire or have an interview?

The questionnaire may be filled in at home and then posted to the company, or it may be one that you fill out on the internet.

I prefer the questionnaires. I don't like it at all when those people at the mall ask to interview me.

Since I work for a market research company, this generally disqualifies me from participating in market research either over the phone or in person. I haven't been approached about doing a market research survey online as yet so I can't really answer.

I prefer to have an interview over the phone.I have no patience for reading a long questionnaire. The shorter it is & to the point the better.I grow bored after a while of reading something too long & lenghty.Kinda like ADD.

I generally avoid these things. On the rare occasion that I want to do one, I prefer the questionnaire: it's faster and can be put aside at will.

I like both, but I like to be interviewed better.

I get a call at work every year asking how one of our wholesale suppliers is doing. They do a phone interview and send a questionnaire. I much prefer the questionnaire. I feel silly giving my opinions to someone in an interview, and I feel rushed to come up with an answer.

If I can do it without having to talk to someone, I'm all for it.

Mmmmmm, questionnaires. Just like Mom used to make. That's why I'm here on SC. Ask me weird questions.
