Yes...I don't know...maybe? I hope so. |

I have done it, numerous times. I have yet to have any trouble with an online purchase, aside from the fairly common occurrence of the seller not actually having the item advertized. |

Probably, unless you buy something expensive and didn't consult your SO first. |

It depends on what company you're buying from. |

it depends. If you're using a web browser on a computer that you control, and you're using SSL and the server's certificates are up-to-date... then it's as safe as they keep your credit card numbers. Some design flaws can expose ordering information but generally it's likely that under these conditions it's relatively safe.
if you're not using SSL or you've contacted the wrong server or you're using a public terminal then you're asking for trouble.

It's generally not much more dangerous than handing your credit card to a waiter. |

It depends on who/where you're buying _from_. |

"Safe" as in "will someone abuse my credit card?" sure- I do it all the time. "Safe" as in "will buying this object mire me further into materialism and attachment?"- not at all safe, and I still do it all the time. |

At first I thought those were your measurements (in mllimeters).
Then I realize there was one too many...unless,of course, they weren't your measurements, but those of ASBT. |

Maybe. It depends what company and what country. I have purchased many things online from Australian and US stores with no problem. My Australian purchases usually arrive in two days if the store is located in one of the Capital Cities. I would avoid buying online from say, China or Russia because they don't seem worried about fraud and other financial crimes in those countries. I have a debit card and have istructed my bank to reject purchases over a certain limit so I feel a little better about buying online. |

depends on the site |

The only stuff I do online is come here, scooch around, then if I remember, check my email. Don't ask me to give advice. They wrote that "Internet for Dummies" for me, although they forgot the dedication. And yes, I haven't read it yet. |

No, my son bought something online, got the merchandise-it turned out to be shoddy. He returned it by registered mail and still hasn't got a refund. To cap it all off, this company (Highlander) sold his info to another company who charged without authorization $80 for some travel club on his debit card which made his bank account overdrawn. They did refund the $80, but not the overdraft fee. Be careful who you do business with!
