I have trouble with the idea of blaming films or pop songs or whatever for crimes and such. I will concede in so far as the films or songs constitute an element of the prevailing culture, which I do think can be a contributing factor to crime. But to single out a particular magazine article or billboard, and say "That's why he shot the president!" That's just simple minded.

I saw the film, and at times I was on the edge of my seat. So I'm not surprised about the outcome.

But, not everyone realizes that it's only "HOLLYWOOD" you can't do the things that you see on television. It's not all real.

I haven't heard of the movie, and I hadn't heard about the tragic deaths. But this sort of thing has happened before. People try and imitate what they may have seen at the movies or on t.v., often with tragic results.
Unfortunately, tho, even tho we can censor movies, we can't stop people from being stupid. There is no law against stupidity. These people made a stupid decision, and unfortunately paid tragic consequences.
The movie is not to blame for that.

The movie gets your adrenaline pumping and may make you want to drive fast but if you're stupid enough to do something where you get hurt it is your own fault.

to blame? No. People are responsible for their own actions. Blame them. Blame the people who didn't teach them not to be morons.

I haven't seen the movie, but I think that the movie may have provoked people to drive recklessly, but you can not blame the movie for that.

I have no idea because we don't know if those racers even saw the movie. Maybe it was a coincidence. I think people do get ideas from movies, though.

No, I've had it with that blaming for violence. First is was the Columbine-Marilyn Manson thing. Enough, enough, enough.

The movie is not fully to blame, but probably encouraged some dangerous behaviour.

No, stupid people who die doing stupid things have only themselves to blame.

See The Darwin Awards site.

I say, "Adios, idiots!"

I believe it is, but at least it is weeding out the easily influenced people from the gene pool.

No. Braindead fudgewits who need a movie to motivate them into doing something "naughty" and who can't drive are to blame.

movies don't kill people with cars, teenagers do.

Why just teenagers? What about impatient people? Old drivers who travel at less than half the limit, causing a lot of frustration for other drivers? Truckies who drive faster than what is safe for their loads?
I don't think it's just teenagers.
