| ASexyBabe | posted 2-Jul-2001 2:50pm wreck wreck wreck speed speed speed seatbelt run stop sign run stop light warnings for a headlight out and no front licence plate. I do not wreck now that I drive a standard transmission. |
| Cleo | posted 2-Jul-2001 3:20pm Yep,for a California rolling stop. Before that,a ticket for a not having a drivers license(really didn't think that I needed one anymore,especially after driving without one for 8 years.) |
| Oscar | posted 2-Jul-2001 3:21pm I have had 4 (I think, may be 5) speeding tickets, one ticket for running a red light (I didn't do it) and another ticket for careless driving (I have to go to court for that one tomorrow) |
| Oscar | (reply to Cleo) posted 2-Jul-2001 3:23pm nothing wrong with the California stop. Didn't you know that you don't have to stop for stop signs that have a white border around them? lol |
| Zang | posted 2-Jul-2001 3:27pm I've never had a driver's license. I did own a car for a while, about 20 years ago. I have never gotten a traffic violation. I don't drive very often. The only interaction I have had with the police whilst driving, was the time I got a jump-start from them, when I was having problems with my battery. They just happened to be the first car that came along. I was standing there with the hood open, and a set of jumper cables. I thought it was kind of funny. Not having a license and all... |
| ASexyBabesToy | posted 2-Jul-2001 3:30pm Sure. I've had a few. |
| heyzeus1 | posted 2-Jul-2001 3:31pm they keep revoking mine. bastards! |

| kaleb777 | posted 2-Jul-2001 4:15pm Yes, many speeding tickets by patrol cars, lasers, radars and speed cameras. |
| jkiehart | posted 2-Jul-2001 4:26pm HAVE I?? Well let's see. I hit a telephone pole. I hit a pedestrian, then I hit his car and another woman's car all in one fell swoop. I hit a big rock. I got hit by a drunk driver. When I got my new car, I forgot my OLD car was behind it and I backed right into the damn thing. I wiped out on an icy overpass. There's probably more, but I've blocked them all out. Insurance companies hate me. This is a big reason I moved to NYC. You can get anywhere and you don't have to drive to do it. |
| Oscar | (reply to jkiehart) posted 2-Jul-2001 5:08pm way to go! Congratulations! |
| jettles | posted 2-Jul-2001 5:22pm lol lol lol lol of course i have, too numerous to mention from when i was in college but in the last 10 years or so i would say i average about one ticket a year for speeding on the interstate. |
| Matt | posted 2-Jul-2001 5:36pm Yes, speeding, I got a 45$ ticket for going 55 in a 50 zone. |
| Cleo | (reply to Oscar) posted 2-Jul-2001 5:41pm Nope! She just so happened to be sitting up on a hill waiting to stop someone. That someone just so happened to be me. She followed me 2 block to my house before putting on her lights,as I was pulling into my car driveway. What's up with that??I still don't get it...Anyways.... I ended up arguing with her that I had PAUSED at the sign before proceeding & she says "The sign said STOP not PAUSE."I don't know ...go figure. It was like 1 or 2 o'clock in the morning. How much traffic could there possibly be at that hour in dead city Murrieta????None.. |
| jkiehart | (reply to Oscar) posted 2-Jul-2001 6:46pm It took a lot of time, and a lot of effort, but I did the most damage I could in very small period of time. You could say I'm driven. Oh God I crack me up. "Driven." I don't even have to put any effort into it, I'm just THAT clever. "Driven." Oy vey. Yeah, that' a good one. |
| juliw | posted 2-Jul-2001 6:52pm I have never had a drivers license or a traffic violation. |

| anonymous | (reply to heyzeus1) posted 2-Jul-2001 11:04pm yeah it's not like you ever do anything to get them to revoke your license is it?? |
| smurf | posted 2-Jul-2001 11:14pm Other I was issued with a parking ticket for parking over the time limit. But at the time, I was visiting my Grandma who was in the hospital, so I wrote to the council involved, giving them a big sob story on how my Grandma was desperately ill, and I couldn't park in the hospital carpark because, in my rush to get to the hospital, I forgot my wallet. They wrote back and said that it was ok - I didn't have to pay They ended their letter with "Just remember, the only reason you were able to find a park was because of these limits..." or something |
| smurf | posted 2-Jul-2001 11:18pm BTW, I've been driving for around 4 years, and I still haven't had any other tickets |
| LindaH | (reply to ASexyBabe) posted 3-Jul-2001 12:16am I found a website that explains ways you can get out of getting a ticket if you are stopped. I'll find it again if it's still a concern for you. |

| TeddyMiller | posted 3-Jul-2001 10:41am I've never had a traffic violation in the 20 years since I got my license, because I haven't driven at all in that time. I never liked driving; the license was only in case I really had to drive. |

| Oscar | (reply to smurf) posted 4-Jul-2001 3:25pm OK: Picture this... I am a very shy person. I also suffer from Social Anxiety to top it off. I have to stand in front of a judge and all this people I don't know and TALK!! lol I was so nervous and the judge talked so fast and slurred that I don't know what he said. I was too tense to ask him to repeat what he had said. I asked the baliff what he said and the baliff said he hadn't been listening either. So...I don't know how the court case went. Thanks for asking though |

| SueBee | posted 8-Jul-2001 3:32pm I've been driving for almost 25 years. I had three speeding tickets when I was a teenager, and I've had several since then - 4 or 5 - and I've been pulled over a few times and just gotten warnings. But I haven't been pulled over for several years now. |

| darkshadowsseeker | posted 12-Aug-2001 1:31am When I still drove, I has a total of one(1) traffic ticket and that was for expired tags on the license plate. DMV forgot to send a reminder notice & I overlooked when the tags expired. Unfortunately for me, I got pulled over by a State Trooper. If it had been a city cop, I probably would have gotten off with a warning, but you can't talk your way out of a ticket with a State Trooper, it just doesn't happen! |
