I also like to drink, and if I were unhappy I'd probably drink way too much since alcoholism runs in my family. Luckily I very seldom drink to drown my sorrows, so alcohol hasn't been a problem in my life. |

I guess if I were going to be a junkie, I'd go all out. I mean if I'm going to fall into deep depravity and risk losing my home and business, etc. it might as well feel great. I think I'd try to stock up an about a year or two's worth of heroin- since it looks like the un-fun part about being a heroin addict is trying to get your next fix and failing- and then have at it until I croak. I don't think I really have it in me to become a junkie. I get bored of most drugs after a while. Pot's fun, but it slows me down even more than I already am, which means I pretty much come to a complete stop, so that's only fun once in a while. I don't even want to trip on X again anytime in the foreseeable future- though it would be fun to hangout with tripping people. |

Well... Its kind of like... I suppose, that I wouldn't want to be a crack-head, because, well.. just the social nature of crack. I mean, you know how people are always saying 'Are you smoking crack' or calling each other crack-heads, jokingly, well, if you were REALLY a crackhead, then, it probably wouldn't be so funny any more. Thats the way I see it anyways. Hell, you'd do something stupid, and then someone would say 'Oh, yeah, you fudging crack-head' and instead of laughing and saying ' I am not!' you'd have to say 'Hey, its not my fault, I've got a problem, haven't you ever had a problem'. Then you'd have to cry yourself to sleep at night.
But... speed-freak is a much more loving... compassion term. Its like 'Yeah, this is Julie, she is my little speed-freak (insert big hug here), she is just sooo adorable. This one time, we smoked some meth, and then, we went into my backroom, and we talked for hours! I just love her'.
And if someone was like 'Damn girl, you clean a lot, are you on speed' you could say 'Damn right' and instead of them looking at you like you were a crackhead, they'd probably say, 'oh cool,! I am too!' asnd then you'd end up smoking tweak together and having sex.
Well. thats the way I imagine it, anyways.
Of course, from a health perspective, it is probably better to be a heroin addict than a regular tweaker. |

Definitely not a pothead. (I don't think being a pothead actually counts as being a junkie.)
I think if I were *really* to be a junkie, I'd do heroin. I've never tried it because I'm convinced I'd become a junkie if I did.

i was to New Jersey and New York visiting family and friends that i haven't seen in a number of years. also went to NY for gay pride. it was great.......i hadn't been for four years so it was exciting to see a big celebration again. thanks for the welcome back!! |

Sorry for sneaking up on you-didn't mean to scare you like that! As for the white hairs, TELL ME ABOUT IT! I have been coloring my gray hair since I was about 25. Going gray early kind of runs in my family. Please, please forgive me for being such a gluttonous pig at Barnes& Noble and Starbucks. I feel like such a failure. I did quite well today, though! |

(Arms out stretched) All is for given..You probably needed that LAST fling.On my next pay check I'm treating myself to B&N to read & relax.I don't do coffee but,I do love teas.I think that I had better eat a tuna sub before going there. Oh you poor baby.  I haven't dyed my hair except for once when I was 16 (an experimentation) then again when I was 28 the day before my wedding day.What a mistake that was.Never did that again.I'll probably start doing that soon tho. |

Thanks for forgiving me. I think the real problem was too little variety. Nothing but jello, salad, tuna, and strawberries. I spent about three hours at the bookstore yesterday. It was so fun and relaxing. As for coloring my hair, I actually enjoy getting my hair done. It always gives me a lift. I have had different types of highlighting techniques done, but for the most part, I stick to the same color, my natural shade of dark brown with auburn. |

I totally understand the lack of variety faze,I too was going through the same thing.I think I'll have a tuna sandwich tonight,& more grapefruit juice.I weighed myself earlier & I weigh the same as I did yesterday.I don't get it I didn't have as much as I did days before.Maybe I should refrain from weighing in everyday. My hair color is a dark brown,My daughter had just trimmed it a couple of months ago.My split ends were really getting bad. |

I agree that you really shouldn't get weighed every day. You might just be retaining water or, not to be gross, just need to go to the bathroom. When you said in the What race are you survey that you had a lot of Chinese and Hawaiian blood, I pictured you as having black hair and a deep olive complexion. |
