| msgman | posted 20-Jun-2001 4:53am I'm not sure. Finding out next week's lottery numbers would be great, but I love history and it would be wonderful to be able to see things as they used to be. |
| Iseult | posted 20-Jun-2001 8:33am PAST! Asking me that question is really stupid because my whole life, I was trying to find a way to get to the past. |
| Enheduanna | posted 20-Jun-2001 9:58am The past. |
| LindaH | posted 20-Jun-2001 11:44am I would go into the future and look up as much as I can abut the years I skipped over. Then I would come back and tell everyone what was going to happen next, just like some people do when they saw a movie before anyone else. |
| natsim | posted 20-Jun-2001 12:55pm I would like to go into the past to meet my great-grandparents. I wouldn't want to see the future... too scary? |

| Wicksy | (reply to Biggles) posted 20-Jun-2001 2:48pm Why's that? |
| Biggles | (reply to Wicksy) posted 20-Jun-2001 3:26pm I'd like to see what was going on at that time with the civil war and everything. There were a lot of fascinating characters on both sides. Some people have been recorded in history as villains but I've often wondered how they really were - history bring written by the victors. As it was the Empress Maud's son who ended up on the throne, it was his clerks who recorded much of the history of that time - anyone who had angered his mother particularly (such as Philip FitzRobert - her own nephew who changed sides to fight for the king despite the fact that his father, the Empress's half-brother, was the leader of her army and her champion - who was recorded as someone who had no limits to his villainy) were not exactly heralded as great men. I just think that it would be fascinating Why do you want to go to the future? |

| jzp | posted 21-Jun-2001 5:08pm either would be fun, but to pick one i'd say the past to solve a puzzle or two (ie, origin of life on earth, emergence of homo sapiens, etc). I must be venturing into the past, because I swear I've seen this before. |
| Miaow | posted 21-Jun-2001 7:58pm Medieval times, I've always wanted to. The future should be left to itself. |

| Gamera | posted 21-Jun-2001 11:38pm I think it would be kind of creepy to know the future- I wouldn't know what to do with the knowledge. I think it would be really weird and interesting to see my own past and understand things differently. |
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to Gamera) posted 22-Jun-2001 1:45am well, you could be unplussed with what unfolds, and find that digging into history instead, though it may seem ignorant, is just as vital. |

| Goose66 | posted 25-Jun-2001 12:28am The future. Time travel is a fascinating subject, and the Back To The Future trilogy will always be my favorite movies. I always thought I'd want to go back in time to change things for the better, but if, as you stated, I'd have no impact on the time traveled to, it would be better to check out the future, imho, to learn what mistakes NOT to make after returning to the present. |

| zekeil | posted 12-Jul-2001 2:23am the past because the future is full of death and new technology which will destroy the earth. the past is full of wonderful knowledge and new experiences. forget the past and it comes back upon you. |
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to zekeil) posted 12-Jul-2001 6:42pm Pompeii had particles of golden sun misting through the air. Solomons temple was rich in beehives which became gold urns locked in the catacombs while burning spear point fence clearings turned edens into oasis's. Writing spread through mariner phoenix ibis chicken scratches of constellation courses which the hebrews turned into nuclear science computers. Tribes of lagoon stilt birdhouse builders with poison darts went from cambodia to brazil. Birds and dinosaurs kept evolving (they've even got opposable hands on each leg and accordian eyelids that travel in both x and y directions). A tribe of crows with flamingo coloring? It's probably up for debate in their fashion evolution comittee. The future becomes amorphous digital particle wave consciousness capable of reenacting genesis. War and the brink of destruction will continue to exist. Heaven is a quantum leap parallel always available as time emanates from the source and becomes matter. |

| Dino | posted 10-Dec-2001 8:56am The future - just to see if there is one. |
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to Dino) posted 11-Dec-2001 5:18am Yes and no. There is no future or past, but in the sense you mean, of course. God's not planning on suicide. Wiil we be dancing lights or shrimp on a foreign star, I can not say. I saw the place I'll be moving to in a vision last night, good thing too because I won't even have a chance to visit the town to look at places before I get there. I wrote to a realtor who turned out to be the former mayor. He knows everyone there, now I'll just have to tell him what the place looks like and hook me up with the owner. It's much darker than I expected, I'd forgotten ancient homes weren't big on windows. |
