I had a period of about two weeks earlier this year during which I developed a nasty rash on my armpits. I stopped using deodorant during that time, and switched to another brand once it was gone. I'm sure you all wanted to know that.

Are you trying to tell me something?
We had a related survey. "Which deodorant do you prefer?"

Once a day, or more if I shower more than once in a day.

Deodorant only. No antiperspirant! Owie owie owie -- allergies. Plus, antiperspirants are just icky.

I think antiperspirant is a bad idea - how is the body supposed to keep cool if you prevent it from sweating? I tried deodorant for a while when I was a teenager, but I decided I like to smell like me (as long as I am clean). I really dislike strong scents - too much cologne or perfume is just awful. I prefer people to smell like their proper mammalian selves. I met someone in a bar this past Sunday who had awesome pheromones - I thanked him for not wearing deodorant.

Rarely, but not quite never. I shower daily, and so far, this has been sufficient to keep me from being offensively smelly (or so I think, anyway. ;) Also, I tend not to perspire very readily, and like the temp to be around 72-74 F.

Never antiperspirant, and the deodorant that I use is wimpy "Tom's of Maine" scents because other stuff makes my nose itch.

I used to, every day, but for the past couple of years I've only been wearing it when I know I'm going to be doing something energetic (skiing, dancing, etc) or nervous-making (interviews, public speaking). I find that I don't get very stinky at my desk job, and I like to minimize the amount of chemicals I apply to myself when I can.

After I shower...every other day, approximately.

For the last year I've been using the same product (the things lasts forever!) It's "Crystal Stick". It's made of mineral salts and ammonium alum....hypoallergenic....free of any scent. Moisten it and rub it on. Works on feet too. Pretty neat.

Yes, but only all natural ones, which are not quite as effective, so I use them more than once a day. I would use stronger deoderants, but my desire to smell nice is not as powerful as my desire to *not* increase my risk of breast cancer.

Lorax: Breast cancer? Is there something I should know here?

Yes, after I shower which is usually once a day, but if I'm out biking in humid weather or something it'd be twice. ***Eris: I use non-scented types - it doesn't affect at all how I smell. It just prevents bacteria from growing that smell *bad*.

***Gilly: My stepmom said the same thing (she lost a breast already) - the chemicals in some deodorants being placed essentially right next to your breast every day have been shown to increase rates of cancer.

Old Spice "Classic" since I first started to dampen the underarms of my gym uniform. I've come to consider it "my scent."
