Duck Hunt! This was my favourite video game growing up (and I'll admit, I occasionally plug in the old nintendo and play this once in a while)
I also remember liking the Marios and the Donkey Kongs. Can't quite remember what else I played (I know I played Yoshi's Cookie too, but that may not have been from the 80s)

I did play Frogger briefly long ago. And a few other games like something called Ladybug, but can't recall the names of the others. Some kind of race game -- maybe that was Turbo, not sure. I only play Scrabble these days, with my Mac as opponent.

Because I don't honestly feel like going through all of those..I'm going to say that I didn't play 1980s video games..because I didn't.
We had a Sega..that's as old as we got. I have played Frogger, Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, and Ms.Pac-Man...And maybe the Pac-Mans were actually true to the 80s. I've also played Centipede and Pong..and the Centipede was on gameboy (color..duh) but the graphics were crap so that had to be like it was in the 80s.
The rest, Frogger, Donkey Kong, and Pong were all amazing. Totally awesome graphics (for the time)...I mean, those games were late 90s early 00s. Pong was cool looking! We had that on Playstation.

So, I played 80s video games..If they were on steroids after having plastic surgery.

Oregon Trail...Now THERE was a game.

I liked most of the 80s video games, and most of them are listed above. Video games back then were much more fun then they are now.

I remember playing some of these on our Spectrum when I was very young (I turned 6 at the very end of 1989). Some names are familiar, but I can't picture the games. The games I definitely remember are 1942, Frogger and Paperboy. We also played a lot of Jet Set Willy and Manic Miner. I think there was a game called Turbo Esprit (or Lotus Esprit?) that I would play with my brother - he would drive, and I would act as the "spotter" (for pink drug cars?) I remember playing lots of text adventure games too - especially the Hobbit. I'm sure we also had a game based on the Great Escape which was all in black and white and where you could move stoves so that you could dig under them. Oh, and Saboteur. There was even a Biggles game - that tied in with the (completely random) 1980s film.

Well I do not play them so can't say. I played some computer games back then, but they were very primitive compared to what we have today so not interested in playing them now.

I was never any good at these games (or too broke) but used love watching people play scramble & defender.......... I will never forget this guy who used to clock the defender machine and when he used to hit the smart bombs and blow up the "baiters"....................

Slot racers always made my brother and I crack up laughing. It was a two player game. You had very little control of your 'guy' as he was zipping around through a maze on his own. You had to turn exactly at the exact perfect moment to get anywhere. The goal was to shoot the other 'guy'. If you shot him, he would go zipping through the maze out of control for a spell. At the time, it was hilarious.

Space Invaders on expert level. Your 'guy' was fat and farted when hit. I remember getting so pissed when someone started a game and intentionally set me at expert to be funny.

Late 80's, but we loved our Commodore 64. My mom didn't work when we were little, so she would get these Commodore magazines in the mail. Each one had different games that you could create on your computer by typing in pages of code. She made us so many new games while we were at school. I loved the text based games, but we also had game show games (like Wheel of Fortune, High Rollers) and Winter and Summer Olympics.

I had to vote for two. Gorf and Pac-Man. I played them both about the same amount and pretty much ignored other games, except for Frogger and Centipede. Oh, and Tron was pretty cool. My $5 worth of quarters lasted a really long time at the bowling alley arcade when I stuck to Gorf and Pac-Man.

Mario Bros. was my favourite. I played that one alot when I was a kid in the 80's. I think I was actually able to beat the entire game in like a couple of minutes after a while. Good game for the times.
