Years ago, I took classes in COBOL and BASIC, and did well in them. I don't know how much of them I would remember now, but that was so long ago, they have no doubt changed.

I only know how to write HTML, but I have to advance my knowledge of it.

None. (Unless you include the rather rudimentary HTML I occasionally use on this site.)

way too short of a list even for currently popular languages... should've included at least Perl, Python, Java, SQL, sh, C#, Javascript, and possibly Cobol.

I'm most fluent in Perl these days.

Does HTML and Javascript count?

Javascript counts. As soon as you have a procedure, decision, or calculation, it's programming. Does this indicate you have a web page these days?

I stripped mine down...I may redo. I have two or three pages . An opener and my Probe pages. I've lost interest in presenting myself to the www.

Of the ones I use now: Perl, and a little bit of REXX, sh and Javascript. SQL, if you include it as a language (which I don't). JCL, at least in theory, but I'd be amazed if I ever need to use it again so I've almost consciously forgotten it. BASIC, but again that's of historic interest only * smile * .

I'd like to learn a few more scripting languages, particularly Python, PHP and ASP. The kind of programming I do doesn't really call for compiled languages (I write mostly for low to moderate load web-based applications), but C++ and Java would probably be handy if I ever get round to learning them.

None. As far as I'm concerned, my computer works with rubberbands and Post It Notes.

I know C language, Q Basic, Assembly Language, and a few Microcontroller assembly languages. I would like to learn Java soon. This survey does not have a great selection of programming languages.

All the above except for Delphi, never heard of it. In addition to this list is also: ADA, Assembly for all x86 processors, Fortran, Perl, Java (most types), scripting on most types of UNIX stations, COBOL, and a few others that I haven't used in quite a while.

Delphi was Borland's early competition for Visual Basic.
