| confetti | posted 1-May-2001 11:45am I usually wear makeup and yes, I do all that "girly-girl" stuff. But if a person expects me to look overly glamorous after I've been running or shooting baskets, they've got another thing coming to them. |
| Violet | posted 1-May-2001 11:51am I swear by lip balm, and it's my only cosmetic. If it takes more than 5 minutes to do something to my hair, it's not worth it. I have better things to do with my time than primping and preening. |
| sharde_pfaff | posted 1-May-2001 11:51am okay, guys always compliment a chick when she looks nice right? of course! so why not take your time to make them look? |
| ASB | (reply to actress) posted 1-May-2001 11:52am I prefer more options that cover all basis. |
| IanLovesPhoebe | posted 1-May-2001 11:57am I'm pretty as I am, natural. I don't need an eyelash curler. |
| anonymous | posted 1-May-2001 12:30pm B.O. stands for Best Odours ... |
| Lahdee | posted 1-May-2001 12:49pm I put a little of both because I dont wear much make up at all, and when I do, its so little, that I still look natural. So I prefer the natural look, but sometimes I use make up to make myself look nicer, but you cant tell Im wearing any. |
| jkiehart | posted 1-May-2001 1:14pm For myself, I prefer natural. I little mascara, blush, lipbalm, run a comb through my hair, bam, I'm done. But I really find myself drawn to women who are just over the top, with lots of makeup, the long nails, complicated hair, the whole thing. I love looking at women like that! |
| kaleb777 | posted 1-May-2001 3:33pm Natural is OK, but without a whole lotta chemicals, westerners soon look like crap. Greasy hair and zits doesn't look good. |
| jettles | posted 1-May-2001 4:26pm natural look |
| Jemmy | posted 1-May-2001 5:02pm I don't know...I wear more make-up than most people my age, but I don't exactly look like Christina Aguilera. I like to look nice, and I like my make-up to look natural and pretty, not over-done and trashy. |
| mary | posted 1-May-2001 5:03pm Doesn't matter to me. I am pretty natural, yet I wear a small amount of make up, guess it's more a mental thing. |
| juliw | posted 1-May-2001 6:35pm It's fine to get a little extra help. I wear makeup and have had different things done to my hair and nails. Sometimes the perms, hair color, etc. have been just an attempt to improve my appearance, but sometimes they have been just for fun, or just for any kind of CHANGE. |
| actress | posted 1-May-2001 6:37pm I wear my make-up and, acrylic nails. No hair extensions though. |
| actress | (reply to ASB) posted 1-May-2001 6:39pm Now that info would have been helful in the qualifying process. |
| actress | (reply to ASB) posted 1-May-2001 6:39pm Excuse me, "helpful". |
| Iseult | posted 1-May-2001 7:01pm For me, unnatural, for everyone else -- no make up at all. |
| Zang | posted 1-May-2001 8:13pm I draw the line at surgery. |
| Gamera | posted 1-May-2001 11:35pm It's all about good hygiene- the super au-natural types, who turn into more the more eau-natural types, just don't do it for me. |
| cody | posted 2-May-2001 2:44am Natural looks fine in the vast majority of cases. Truth be told, most people look pretty good. (yes, thats a period). What comes to my mind is make-up, but on some level I am vaguely aware that you could be meaning other things too... |
| micah | posted 2-May-2001 3:53am Both. |
| BlueberryMuffin | posted 2-May-2001 4:19am I, personally, don't wear any make-up at all. If an extremely special occasion presents itself I'll dust my face with baby powder to make my skin look smoother and sometimes put vaseline on my lips. I don't have any preference as to what other other people wear but excessive gaudy colour is more extreme than I like. |
| Biggles | posted 2-May-2001 12:46pm On me, just the natural look. But I don't object to others wanting to wear a bit of make up or whatever. I think people who wear lots of make up and thick foundation look like silly, tarty, slappers. It looks a bit disgusting......... And why wear lipstick that's going to end up all over your teeth, or your glass or your SO?! (I can't believe slappers isn't in the dictionary!) |
| livia | posted 2-May-2001 5:35pm Alittle make-up and a simple yet attractive hairstyle are all you really need to look good. And good posture. To much make-up look really bad and I often find myself thinking that they must look horrible under neath all that. |
| Jemmy | (reply to jen) posted 2-May-2001 6:41pm Have you ever tried the hypo-allergenic kind? |
| mandy | posted 2-May-2001 8:53pm Lately, I am ambivalent |
| mandy | (reply to jen) posted 2-May-2001 8:58pm You don't need any makeup.....Your natural beauty is enviable. |
| ASB | (reply to actress) posted 2-May-2001 8:59pm Then if it could have been so helpful why did you ignore other peoples suggestions in qualification? click advanced stats to see them. |
| actress | (reply to ASB) posted 2-May-2001 10:49pm It really amaze me how some of you do all that crying and complaining at this point. It's to late now, obviously it was okay for some. So next time you can create another survey similar to this, and do it the way that you want. Hey, it may do better, who cares. However, this is my survey, my idea, with the help of others. I don't particularly care for all of your surveys "boogers". I thought that was kinda dumb, but again that's my opinion. Others might think differently. That's what is good about this site, you can create surveys that "you" like. |
| Kristal_Rose | posted 2-May-2001 11:14pm I go back and forth. I haven't touched my hair in a couple years, but tonight I think I'm going turquoise and violet. I don't try to mask scars, altough mine have already pretty much gone away. they were sort of from another life. |
| ASB | (reply to actress) posted 3-May-2001 8:08am The problem wasnt with the subject of the survey it was with the limited options. You as a creator should at least look at your survey while in qualification to see what people said about it. It is obvious that you didn't do so. |
| Jemmy | (reply to jen) posted 3-May-2001 11:22am Really? I was just wondering because that's what my friend has to use. |
| ASexyBabesToy | posted 4-May-2001 3:16am Natural. |
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to Jemmy) posted 4-May-2001 6:24am Twisty's got that right, naturally gorgeous. |
| Matt | posted 4-May-2001 6:16pm I do like coloured nails though... sparkles too! |
| actress | (reply to ASB) posted 4-May-2001 9:35pm What eva! |
| ASB | (reply to actress) posted 5-May-2001 12:29am I didn't think you wanted to address the real problem and you have just made excuses. |
| SueBee | posted 5-May-2001 11:07am I'm kind of a hypocrite on this subject. I never wear makeup and really prefer a natural look for other women, too, and I think the whole cosmetic industry is pretty much a big ripoff. But I do think makeup can really enhance a person's beauty and be really sexy. I guess I think it's a shame that so many women won't leave the house without it. I think it would be better saved for special occasions. |
| Jemmy | (reply to Kristal_Rose) posted 5-May-2001 11:22am What about naturally gorgeous? (Is there an icon face thing for confused?) |
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to Jemmy) posted 5-May-2001 4:43pm You. Twisty suggested you don't need make-up. |
| Jemmy | (reply to Kristal_Rose) posted 6-May-2001 1:57pm Oh. I see that now, but wasn't she talking to jen? As for me, I don't agree. |
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to Jemmy) posted 6-May-2001 7:10pm Apparently she was. But I saw those photos. I wouldn't deny make up, but I still claim you are one one of those people gorgeous without it. |
| Jemmy | (reply to Kristal_Rose) posted 7-May-2001 7:34am Oh, I don't know. Different people see and like different things. I know people who have said I still look good without make up, but I don't agree. And besides that, I like make up and have fun with it, and I don't think I'm that pretty. I'm just average. |
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to Jemmy) posted 7-May-2001 7:22pm I think you should have fun with make up, just keep in mind that if it could be said that some people need it and some don't, you are certainly one who doesn't. There are places like fairbanks, alaska where make up is rarely seen. and then there are places like LA where I live, where you can get every color of nail polish or mascara imaginable. |
| Jemmy | (reply to Kristal_Rose) posted 7-May-2001 8:18pm Well, I actually don't like colored mascara, but I get your point. Does anyone really "need" make up? It's more helpful to some people than others, but I don't really know. A teacher I had spent two years trying to convince me that I didn't need make up. But that's a long story. |
| anoddoblivion | posted 8-May-2001 8:32pm Everyone has the need to want to be better. I take showers, cut my hair, brush my teethe, so I do the bare minimum. I also were a baseball cap and sunglasses sometimes, and were nice enough clothes so that I don't look like I live under a bridge (no offense) |
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to anoddoblivion) posted 9-May-2001 6:59am To? I don't think anyone here lives under a bridge. Have you? I have travelled penniless, and volunteered for a quick touch of homelessness. |
| nasale | posted 20-May-2001 6:52pm I wear a bit of makeup, but, nothing much. I'm just a natural born living doll! (At least I am when I'm on the internet) |
| Cleo | posted 29-May-2001 11:35am A little eye brow pencil on the bottom eyelid, brush of my hair,I'm good to go.Thank god the 60's 70's type makeup is gone I thought that period of makeup was way over the top.Too much blues & greens on the eyes.Yuck!LESS IS MORE! |
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to Cleo) posted 30-May-2001 9:32am I just got myself lavendar mascara. When's the last time you've seen that? |
| Cleo | (reply to Kristal_Rose) posted 30-May-2001 9:36pm My daughter uses that color! I used to use it a few years back then I got lazy & stopped using .......Sorry I thought you said lavendar eye shadow.Uuuumm Can't say I've seen it ever!!!Prefer that color eye shadow. |
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to Cleo) posted 30-May-2001 9:53pm The eye shadow has always been my favorite. Lavendar & Mint. I think colored mascara went out in the early 60's. |
| Cleo | (reply to Kristal_Rose) posted 30-May-2001 10:04pm My mother-in-law used mint & she had beautiful green eyes.With red hair! |
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to Cleo) posted 30-May-2001 10:08pm Me too at times. |
| Cleo | (reply to Kristal_Rose) posted 30-May-2001 10:17pm Your so lucky!!I can't ware just any colors. |
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to Cleo) posted 30-May-2001 10:45pm Everyone can, but it requires changing your wardrobe (and possibly hair) and countenace as well. You could do 'Creature from the black lagoon', 'Floozie', 'Cow girl', 'Gypsy', 'Lawyer', in any palette you wanted. You have to have the perception that goes with the look or it will not fit. |
| Cleo | (reply to Kristal_Rose) posted 30-May-2001 10:56pm HA,ha,,ha,ha, I don't think I possess that kind of perception of color scheme like you do.My perception is more one dimensional.Whereas yours is multi level. |
