When showering, what orientation do you tend to default to?

Kinda weird question, I know, but I read somewhere that 40% of people face away and 60% towards and I was curious how that statistic would be represented here. I always face away btw. (generally it's the way you're facing when you wash your hair)

gad - the word 'orientation' makes me want to reply 'hetero' ... i can't stand the water in my face so I face away for the most, just turn around to rinse those parts on the front..

Orientation varies depending on which body part I'm washing at any given time. Typically, whatever is being washed is facing away from where the water is coming out, until it is time for it to get rinsed, when it gets faced toward where the water is coming out.

facing away.. after getting myself thoroughly wet, I face away, tilt the head back to rinse out shampoo, rotate to get the shampoo from my beard, then rotate back and soap up.. scrub, then face towards to rinse off the soap. I also tend to move forward a bit so less of me is getting showered, so that the soap on my back doesn't get rinsed before I scrub. does this qualify as TMI?

A good followup survey might be "Do you wash yourself in the same order every time you shower (left arm, then chest, then right arm, etc.)".

It depends entirely on what I'm doing, whether I want my hair in or out of the water, etc.

I face away from the shower by default, but I face the shower when I'm washing my hair. My hair is quite long, and I like to be able to get shampoo/conditioner into all of it at once without it rinsing out part way through.

Obviously, I turn as I wash different pieces, but the default is facing the shower.

Water in face very bad, I only do it for a second or two. Hot water on back very good, I do it for as long as possible.

I have rosacea on my face, and it tends to get worse when my skin is exposed to extreme hot or cold, so I tend to face away. This wasn't always the case, though.

I face the shower most of the time, but I tend to face away from it while I rinse my hair.

Depends what part of my body I'm washing at the time, of course, but mostly back-to-shower when showering alone. (Showering with someone else always complicates things way too much - the world needs more double shower heads.)

I hate being constantly hit in the face with the spray.

I have a hand shower, so wherever I spray it. In a wall showerhead situation, I turn to get whatever parts necessary. I rinse my hair with my back to the spray, though.
