| Jimmy | posted 2-Dec-1997 1:07pm I don't really like pears, but I know myself well and chose answer #1. |
| fiore | posted 2-Dec-1997 2:02pm It's habit. It's the only fruit I eat this way. All others(peaches, apples, plums), I eat around first. |
| Tonya | posted 2-Dec-1997 5:47pm I don't eat pears |
| steve | posted 2-Dec-1997 6:56pm I don't know if I've ever eaten a whole pear; I tend to peel them, cut them up, and poach them in wine, water, and ginger syrup. |
| babeeco | posted 2-Dec-1997 8:16pm Pears are sweet and juicy, that's why I eat them. I don't want to mess with the stems. (unless this is a trick question) |
| seanhuxter | posted 4-Dec-1997 11:24am Is there another way? |
| Dahlia | posted 5-Dec-1997 7:45pm Actually. I cut them up into slices and then eat them. |
| mcarlos | posted 5-Dec-1997 7:48pm i bite in the fleshiest part, let the juice drip, and then eat it more or less like i do a cob of corn... back and forth, round and round - pears are of course symbolic of the female sex ... |
| jefff | posted 7-Dec-1997 3:15pm I was the 22nd person to answer this question. |
| Atzilut | posted 8-Dec-1997 12:06pm as I've eaten only six pears in my entire life, I don' think I have a hard and fast method |
| dvmike | posted 9-Dec-1997 10:47am WHO EATS PEARS? |
| hunter | posted 9-Dec-1997 8:06pm Start on the bottom and work up. |
| Choad | posted 12-Dec-1997 8:26pm I just KNOW this question has sexual undertones. |
| seth | posted 12-Dec-1997 9:32pm When I'm done, there's nothing left but the stem. |
| wiggsj | posted 13-Dec-1997 11:05am Out of the can! |

| milktree | posted 29-Dec-1997 11:39am how does the answer differ for apples, peaches, or plums? |
| Timmi | posted 23-Feb-1998 2:02pm I can't really remember the last time I ate a pear that didn't involve either a can opener or a knife. |
| Dolemite | posted 2-Mar-1998 1:45am Eh? |
| elijahblue | posted 6-Mar-1998 12:59am who cares? |
| weth | posted 6-Mar-1998 5:03pm If you don't have anything nice to say, elijahblue, then don't say anything at all. You big doody-head. |
| joe | posted 20-Mar-1998 11:04pm i gently kiss it, then rub and lick it all over, first slowly then fast, then slowly again, also caressing the rest of the pear at the same time, before finally ending in a frenzy that leaves the room covered floor to ceiling in pear juice and saliva. then i smoke a cigarette. what was the question? |
| daver | posted 16-May-1998 8:53pm **Joe's comment has got to be the best by far... |
| lelle | posted 17-May-1998 4:28pm Bite off the stem, then eat it from the top down, including seeds etc, leaving only the calyx? (brown crunchy ex-flower bit). |
| phi | posted 30-Jun-1998 3:48pm Unless I slice it up first, in which case I eat each slice from top to bottom. ***joe: that was beautiful. |
| reality | posted 3-Jul-1998 12:13pm same as an apple.. the middle.. then the edges... |
| Biggles | posted 2-Aug-2006 8:04pm I don't eat pears - they are one of the few fruits and vegetables that I dislike (along with papayas). That said, I haven't tried one in a long time, and a friend gave me a bite of an Asian pear which was a lot nicer than what I've had before. |
