| ammist | posted 2-Jul-1998 2:20am None. While I liked school just fine, I think one moves on. One grows up and does other things. Anyway, do we get to know now what we didn't know then if we repeat? |
| kirst | posted 2-Jul-1998 4:24am Third grade was a trip. My teacher made class fun, and we participated in a lot of hands-on activities. |
| daver | posted 2-Jul-1998 7:35am None, but not because I hated school. |
| bill | posted 2-Jul-1998 8:06am I already repeated first grade (I stayed back!) - Hard to believe that such a brilliant guy like me stayed back a grade in school, eh? *** I'm with Jen, the years in college were my best school years. |
| jer | posted 2-Jul-1998 8:50am mmm... laurel conrad... I had a wicked crush on her in 3rd grade |
| Jaime | posted 2-Jul-1998 8:54am Kindergarten! ...But having the same age, or as I'm now? *** Bill : Not so strange, I also repeated! |
| lizzie | posted 2-Jul-1998 8:55am I didn't hate school, as the answer states, but I don't want to repeat any of it. I might be willing to repeat a few college years, though. |
| jjg | posted 2-Jul-1998 9:03am Second Senior year in college. |
| doom | posted 2-Jul-1998 9:24am First grade seems to have been a problem for a lot of people. I would have stayed back and repeated first grade but my parents yanked me out of public school and sent me to a private school for second grade. |
| zaruba | posted 2-Jul-1998 9:36am First year of college...maybe I would do a better job of it. Work harder, play less. |
| reality | posted 2-Jul-1998 9:46am None, as far as gradeschool and high school... I barely recall gradeschool, and highschool is a blur.. nothing really sticks out.. however, my junior year at college was lots of fun.. I would gladly repeat that one, or even have it extended a few years... |
| Jody | posted 2-Jul-1998 9:48am Boy, according to the survey results, nobody liked high school. And I thought it was just me ;). |
| milktree | posted 2-Jul-1998 9:49am freshman year in college |
| lisashea | posted 2-Jul-1998 12:03pm I don't ever want to be a child again. They did let me skip kindergarten tho ;) |
| dab | posted 2-Jul-1998 1:02pm If I repeated any it would be college. Mostly though, I'm happier since school. |
| steve | posted 2-Jul-1998 1:53pm My ninth term in college had much to recommend it, since I was only taking two classes. I actually liked school itself, but you could not pay me enough to return to childhood; school was my escape from home, so I didn't hate school, but I would never repeat any of these. Would anyone? (I guess I'll get an answer real soon now.) |
| kadai | posted 2-Jul-1998 6:04pm There isn't a day that goes by that I don't thank my lucky stars I'm out of school. |
| seth | posted 2-Jul-1998 6:38pm College was more fun than anything listed. |
| phi | posted 2-Jul-1998 7:07pm If I have to pick one from HS, senior year was the most fun. If I get to pick a year in college (and therefore have a chance to actually learn something) I'll go for my sophomore year, which was the last one before I got disillusioned with it. I kind of assumed this is one of those questions like "you're at the pearly gates (or whatever) and St Peter asks you if you'd like to live on year of school over again"... |
| lelle | posted 4-Jul-1998 1:13pm I liked school most of the time, but I don't think I'd want to repeat the schooling (except possibly 4th grade, since I never had it). |
| Twanger | posted 5-Jul-1998 9:48pm 12th grade was the best year of my life. |
| Artemis | posted 6-Jul-1998 6:20pm I'd repeat grade nine! Woohoo! That was the most fun. |
| jzp | posted 6-Jul-1998 10:30pm none. it all sucked. school is a prison. "if you liked school, you'll LOVE work." unless we're talking about the non-school parts of a given year. |
| Gamera | posted 7-Jul-1998 1:27am 20th grade- my final year in grad school, was pretty much like what I do now, only with more bullcrap and less money. That's the closest thing I could come to a recommendation. I didn't hate school, but I hope to the sky to not go back. 1st grade would be a particularly bad idea- my butt wouldn't fit in those little tiny seats any more. |
| nbarone | posted 7-Jul-1998 1:08pm If i'm just living it over again, probably my sophmore year of college was my all in all most enjoyable year of school. if i'm getting a chance to redo things, i might go with 12th grade |
| hunter | posted 8-Jul-1998 3:14am ***zaruba...this is why I really want to encourage my kids to take a year between high school and college to travel or work, have time to play around without skipping classes and really think about what they want to be doing and learning |
| Resy | posted 8-Jul-1998 3:50pm I wouldn't repeat any, although I enjoyed them all. |
| eris | posted 9-Jul-1998 12:17pm For me, it was much more a function of the teachers than of the grade per se. Except for K-3, I generally loved the academics and had a varying degree of difficulty with the other students. 7th was probably the worst that way, and I didn't really recover until college. Which was fabulous. |
| dpolicar | posted 27-Jul-1998 4:52pm Loathe the answers. I didn't hate school per se, but I wouldn't repeat any of them now -- what would be the point? Still, if given the choice of going back to roundabout my freshman year of college and living through the following decade with foreknowledge, I'd probably take it... not to relive the school year per se, but to see how my life would change if I did different stuff. |
| clare | posted 7-Aug-2006 12:34pm None. I didn't hate school, but it would be pointless to repeat a school year/grade since I graduated high school over 10 years ago. |
| alucard | posted 11-Nov-2006 4:19am None of them. I didn't hate school, but once through is enough for me. |
| krazykatlady | posted 27-May-2007 4:30am I liked school, but I can't imagine why I'd want to repeat any grades. |
