You have to give up your telephone or your computer. Which one do you keep?

I keep the computer because you can make long-distance calls (free!) over the Internet now.

You know, I just realized I answered this the wrong way. I'd keep the computer and give up the telephone. If I never had to talk on the telephone again, I'd be a very happy camper.

Computer, because I would want to keep in touch with all my friends and relatives who do not have computers, be able to make emergency calls, etc. Also, I need a phone line to even use my computer.

I already gave up my phone.

Can always use the computer to call someone, since the computer is not connected to the phone line but a cable line.

I'd have to say the old-fashioned telephone.

I'd give up my phone...since it didn't say anything about giving up my phone line... Then I can still dial up.

It would definitely be the telephone. Most persons know how to get me without calling on the phone. Most evening phone calls come from annoying telemarketers. I would however keep my PCS phone for emergencies only as well as my pager.

I can always email people or use a pay-phone, but it is pretty hard to compose music with a telephone. (I can't figure out where to plug my synthesizer into it!)

Telephone! I'm tired of all the internet hullabaloo. Love that word.

I'm assuming that in giving up the phone I'm also giving up the phone line, so I would choose to get rid of the computer. I can't call an ambulance with out access to the phone system.

Can I get online?

I would guess that you would only lose the phone and not the phone line.

Computer. No idea why. I just use it more than the phone.

If I give up my telephone can I still access the internet? If so, I'd keep the computer. If not, I'd keep the telephone.

I hate talking on the phone. The only reason I have one is for the computer.

Hands down. I hate the blanking phone! I only answer it when I feel like it. My favorite saying is 'I don't do phones.'

I keep my computer, because I can live without ever being able to talk to anyone.

I can deal with being without a computer..but if an emergency happened, i'd need a phone..
