I can understand the "I think he/she/it's hot" type of crush. The "I want to spend the rest of my life with him/her/it" type seem a little looney.

You know, there's an automatic spell checker on surveys :)

It was and is the BBC's Robin Hood actor. The dark, shaggy hair, the deep eyes, and his (the character's) unflinching desire to do what was right despite the odds. Mmmmmmmmmmm.

irresistable, even. I realize the futility and ineffable lameness of celeb crushes -- But my GOD there are so many hotties. . . I guess that's why they're celebs.

Not a crush, exactly. I've had serious lust for celebrities, and there are celebrities for whom I have such overwhelming respect and gratitude that I'd gladly blow them just as kind of an extreme way of saying "Hey, thanks!" But a crush is a different kind of beast, and I have to know the person to contract one.

I've thought a number of movie stars/rock stars/celebrities were HOT but never had a crush on them. (just what is the definition of "crush" by the way?)

My first love was Will Robinson (Billy Mumy) on Lost In Space. He was so smart ... and a goody-two-shoes. Yum. :)

..I always wanted to meet John Denver and used to pretend I was having a conversation with him (refer to the survey about imaginary friends) ... not a crush in any romantic sort of way

I've had crushes on a lot of celebrities at different times in my life. Among the infamous list...Rick Springfield (blush), Phil Collins, Rick Middleton (Boston Bruin), Pete Peters (Boston Bruin), and Jimmy Buffett. Currently, I think Anthony Edwards is pretty cute.

Yes, twice. I just look at him/her and continue... I think that, if I was a movie star, I don't like that all the people comes to me telling "Oh, Paco, I'm your greatest fan, I've seen all your movies, even the one you're making now, I want you to make me a baby" * smile * ))))))

I've had several affairs with movie stars, rock stars and the like. None of them were any good in bed. Get over it people!

I don't remember ever having a crush on someone I didn't know. Now, celebrity fantasies are a different story. :)

Toni Tennille. I'm not proud of it, but there it is. I also had a bit of an Olivia Newton-John thing right around the time of Xanadu. Again, I am not proud of this. Now I long solely for Buffy and I don't care who knows it (except for my SO..."Honey, it's a good show! Great writing...").

***nbarone: Yeah, DH was wicked hot! How could any pre-pubescent boy possibly resist that Vader hair helmet?

I think it's kind of loony to be as obsessive about celebrities as many people are. I pay attention to a lot of gossip about them, but I find all people fairly fascinating, and info on celebrities is available in bulk. I've thought "this one is attractive" or "I think this one is very talented" and even "I would enjoy meeting that one" or "I wouldn't kick him out of bed for eating crackers," but for me crushes have to have a whiff of possibility, so I've never really developed one and have been a little confused by people who do. ***Paco...Seinfeld recently had a GREAT quote on this subject...a fan yelled "I love you, Jerry!" and he responded "I love you, too, but I think we should see other people."

I *lust* after these guys all the time, but that's not the same (for me anyway) as having a crush.

My Objet de Crush falls into the "semifamous" catagory. He gave me a hug at his last concert and thanked me for the drawing I gave him and said he looks at it every day then ran off to autograph CD's. I try to imagine what an actual conversation with him would be like, but can't get there from here. I wrote him email, he wrote back, but then I didn't have anything else to say, so I never wrote back. I had a great "teen-age-rock-fantasy" dream about him, though, and he was a very sweet and sensitive lover in my dream.

Loathe the answers. I've never had a "crush" on a celebrity, though there are several I find lovely to look at. Why? No reason... why should I have?

I enjoy having some celeb to have a crush on - when I'm bored and don't have another other source of entertainment, I amuse myself by making up stories about how I actually meet them and they fall for me. Actually meeting them would take all the fun out of it, which is why I prefer to have crushes on celebs rather than people I know.

***topper - I'll fight you for him!

I might have as a teen, but that was years ago. If I did, I don't even recall who it was
