When he was on the show, it was very exciting because of Big Bird's dilemma. Personality-wise, I'd probably choose Kermit or Oscar... I really loved them all, Sesame Street was will be a wonderful show. *** Ron2112, that's "Animal" I think (the mna-man dude - great tune!). Great Survey! I'm in a good mood now. |

In any case, I loved Ernie. Mischevious, but usually trying to be helpful. Back in the "old days" before baby everythings started coming out. Now there are baby muppets, baby this, baby that. ***Bill: The ma-na guy was NOT animal! There were two aliens - one that sang one part of the song, one that sang the other. One always had the "short" parts until he goes insane and takes over the song :) |

The Swedish Chef was on the Muppet Show, not Sesame Street (or did he make a guest appearance I missed??) but he is very very cool. ***Resy: I still have my copy of that book in my closet somewhere...I will have to dig it out when I move in a month. |

My favourite non-Sesame Street muppets are Rolf (sp?) and the Muppaphone. :) And the Swedish Chef does sound Swedish, though the words are nonsense. :) |

I truly can't believe you left out my favourite, Kermit! He was the definitive muppet! My physics prof. in high school sounded eerily like Kermit, too. I also quite liked Grover, Cookie Monster, and The Count (and later, Animal). I still have a 45 with "Rubber Duckie" on one side and "2" (or is that "I've Got Two Eyes") as the b-side. And Snuffleupagus was way cooler when Big Bird was the only one who ever saw him! (My paternal grandfather's middle name was Aloyisius! My name, my father's and my grandfather's differ only in our middle names, too.) I just read "The Monster at the End of this Book" to the boys the other night! I know how to read write and count already but I never watched it for that. I hated the two headed monster thing, the fuzzy yup yup yup things got anoying but always were cool, I liked grover best because he was cute, unannoying, smart enough to not be insulting (ex. Elmo isn't), and when they brought those kids on the show (real ones)he always gave them a hug. Note: I know I mispelt, but I am lazy and it's late so I will fix it later. shame on me. |
