I've been weird all my life, and frankly I enjoy it! I listen to weird music, I say weird things, I've been known to dress weird on occasion, and in general I just look at the world in weird ways. Weird is fun! Who the hell wants to be normal? Most of my friends are pretty weird in their own ways (they probably wouldn't be my friends if they weren't) but I like to think that my particular weirdness distinguishes me in some weird way. Weird, huh?

***lara: Wow, that should be a song title! Kinda like the Doors: "People are weird / When you're a weirdo / Faces look homely / When you're at home." Or something like that...

I suppose I'm a bit weird because I have a quite ideal view of how the world should work. Cynical people around me keep thinking I should give up on humanity :) I've found too many times, though, that if I expect the best but plan for the worst, I'm pleasantly surprised many times.

Give me weirdness any day. Normality (whatever that is) is boring as hell.

I am weird (to people I work with for example, but not overly so), but my friends are often weirder than me. I remember an epiphany I had in 7th grade where I realized that if I stopped trying to fit in with normal/popular kids I could instead "be cool" amongst the outcasts. This theory didn't work very well until I went to college (where I found a large pile of weird but intelligent people and have been having a great time ever since).

perhaps "odd" and not weird, but weird is close enough.

Like my father always said, "I am not weird! I'm strange and different." I think I am weird, though, but I've given up trying not to be weird in front of people. It's too much effort, and they can just deal.

Say it loud I'm weird and I'm proud. Well, it may be more accurate to say I'm very different from most folk. That often gets interpreted as weird.

One of my dad's favorite stories about me is an exchange he overheard while a friend and I were playing outside his study when I was about eight...she said "You are so weird!" and I responded "I may be weird for other people, but for a Hunter, I'm perfectly normal." I'm always kind of surprised that other people find me so unusual. I had become insulated from this reaction in Boston, but since I've moved to CA, I've been reminded of it (not that there are fewer weirdos here, just that I'm not as insulated by a set of chosen people).

I'm not weird. I'm a geek, there is a difference. I have some off the wall thoughts, but that isn't so much being weird as being ahead of my time.

I don't think I'm weird, but I know a lot of people who claim I am. It doesn't matter to me either way.

I do definitely fit the connotative as well as the denotative qualities of the word "weird". However, I find that more precise terms describing myself are "obscure" and "unique".

I used to cultivate weirditude. Now I think that's stupid and I do whatever I please.

I might enjoy being weirder, but I don't know, and it might interfere with living in the real world. I'm at least satisfied.

I enjoy being able to check contradictory answers. IMO, it's like being a wedgerat (WPI reference). You know you were one when people called you one, offhand, in passing. Folks who go out of their way To Be _anything_ are just fooling no-one but themselves. Be yourself. "free your mind/and your ass will follow" applies here, as it seems to do everywhere. UT! UT!

hi, my name is nick and i'm weird. actually, i am quite content to be weird. it just seems more fulfilling than normality. also, there are less constraints to worry about once you accept being weird and stop trying to be normal. weirdness = slack. slack is good.

I have had people tell me I am crazy, I have gotten weird looks, and I have scared some people with my weirdness. The origin of my ScreenName here is something kind of weird. And yes, I would gladly be weirder.

Most of the people I hang out with don't think I'm particularly weird, but I've noticed that I do startle the mundanes a bit.

I don't mind being what some people might consider weird and what I and the people I'd like to be with might consider interesting. I just mind whatever it is about me that even turns those other weird/interesting people off.

I never thought I was weird, but other people do say that I am. I think it is just because I am a Christian, and don't act like some Christians do ( you know the really fanatical ones who tell every one they are going to Hell. I figure if you are then you know you are. People are not that stupid, they know when they are doing something wrong.)

No. Some unconventional traits, beliefs and behaviors, but not enough for most people to notice.
