Well, it's Christmas Eve about 12:52pm and I am having a wonderful day. I slept in, we ate a wonderful brunch cooked by my SO and when we're all showered and pretty we're going to play games and then open presents.

This is my first Christmas without sugar and or caffeine and nutrasweet...and guess what?...I'm still having a ball!!!!!

Yes! I was wonderful. We had lots of friends over for gifts and stockings and a huge feast. And it was the first time that I prepared most of the food all by myself, without Mom. It felt like such a rite of passage.

Any time I get to spend with my mom is wonderful. I shipped her back off to Ohio today. *sniff* I want my momma...

Thanks for the hug. I've been feeling much better lately. Christmas just always does that to me.

Because everybody always tell you *have* to be happy with X-mas.

That's part of it. Another part is that it's winter and people get depressed from lack of light. Some people in the past have made it a tradition to make things out of leaves and hang them around the house to remind them of spring and ward away the low moods.

The first and last options are in no way mutually exclusive.

Although it was mainly for the kids.

Yeah! I had a really great Christmas. Got lots of good stuff and I think everyone liked what I got them, too. We all went to my aunt's house for a Christmas buffet--lots of good food and lots of fun visiting with all my relatives--even the weird ones!!
