I chose brewery and personal library, though I think a library is just about necessary. (If it's a mansion, it'll have more than two rooms...)
I wanted to choose six: brewery, library, gym, pool, greenhouse, and ballroom.

Recording Studio and Library, although the Pool would be nice too...maybe if it was smaller, and we put it outside...

I'm amazed you had my two first choices - a game room and a recording studio.

One would be a gym, and OTHER one would be a stress room. You could spray paint the walls, and bash the walls with hammers, and there'd be furniture there you could rip apart and break and it would be totally fun.

Sorry, I couldn't get it past three. I chose personal movie theatre, ballroom, and recording studio. I would love to have more, but those are the top three.

Indoor garden/greenhouse and personal library. Hands down.
The library would have really high ceilings and very tall shelves, with one of those ladders on a rail that goes all the way around. Some day...

Darkroom and a gym. I was very close to the rainforest, but a gym can do more for my physical fitness.

a personal library and a personal movie theater. But I never limit myself to just two things! Right now I'm working on adding a conservatory, which I guess qualifies for an indoor rainforest. We'll see if we can grow bananas in New Hampshire in February.

It depends on what's already there. Any decent mansion will already have a library, but if it didn't then this would be the number one addition. I'd definitely add a recording studio, and if the library was already there then some kind of games room (probably bowling) would be my next choice.

Personal Library for my self, and Playground For Small Children for my daughter, however, I'd upgrade that to a Game Room (arcades, pinball machines, VR machines, etc.) when she gets older! * smile *

The whole house would be for religious purposes. In most of my mansion designs the observatory is the library. In this age, an indoor greenhouse is required. They usually have mirrored staircases with waterfalls along them. When I was three they had fireplaces that opened to secret basements with gas chandaliers with my own ignition designs. By the time I was seven it had a glass walled swimming pool in the basement which was surrounded by aquarium, and the 4th wall was mirrored; actually it was one way glass to my study which was also surrounded by aquarium. By age 24 it was a magnificient sculpture of mural ceramics, glass, and wrought iron in the form of a nautilus. The master bed was in a cave with a hot tub at the front that gurgled down a rock faced wall with hiking trail into the living room. The childrens venetian apartments had porches coming from their second floors (bunk bed lofts) overlooking the sponge-rubber cobblestone terrace with indoor street lamp. I also want a grotto where pirate ships can moor.

I choose a ballroom and a playground for small children, this way I can entertain and the children don't need a babysitter.

I've chosen a personal library and a personal museum. Both for anything that appeals to me. A large number of the books in the library would be by Captain WE Johns though * smile * I'd like an observatory too.......

There are 9 I would choose... SO I choose none...
An Observatory, A personal Movie theatre, Bowling Alley, Personal Library, Dark Room, Game Room, Gym, Olympic Swimming Pool and a Torture Chamber.

I chose bowling alley and recording studio (actually the "recording
studio" would be a soundproof room for music listening with a VERY
VERY VERY nice stereo system. It was the closest I could find. Good surver though! (alot of other options sound good too, but if I'm renovating a mansion and these were the last two rooms I would already
have the swimming pool, game room, indoor rainforest, and movie theater :)
juliw
(reply to Tyler_Smith) posted 1-Jan-2001 6:50pm
The soundproof room sounds COOL!! I would probably have special doors in all my rooms so they could be soundproof when I wanted them to be. I would also a couple hidden rooms to escape from the world at large whenever I chose.

An observatory and a darkroom are the extras I'd be throwing in as an afterthought. The games room, movie theatre, library, personal museum and gym would already have been installed long ago, alongside my studio/music/reading/sleeping room * smile * (I like the all-in-one approach).
