Nudity

I enjoy it because clothing is cumbersome and bothersome.

Woefully limited options. How about "I enjoy being naked when it's too hot, if there are no other people around, or if they're people that I'm sufficiently close to that it doesn't matter if I'm naked in front of them, or if I'm in a social situation where nudity is appropriate." I'm probably pretty ugly, but hey, I'm not actually asking you to look at me.

How about "Naked is what we all are when we don't put clothes on." The way you state this question makes nudity sound like something inherently charged. I feel comfortable naked when I'm in situations where that seems appropriate. I enjoy socially interacting with interesting people. I think people are beautiful and I don't mind seeing them in all their glory and I can appreciate their beauty, but it's not necessarily titillating unless that's the context of the situation. I enjoy being naked, I like wearing clothes. All depends on the requirements of the moment.

I don't look fabulous, I'm not an exhibitionist, but that doesn't stop me from being naked. Sometimes it just feels good to be naked. I can be shy about it, but not so much anymore. Other naked people are enjoyable to look at, fascinating really - it's good to see real-life bodies as opposed to idealized models.

None of these categories apply to me except other. Which is my reply right here. ***Daver: it's an American thing. Most Americans don't realize that hottubs aren't meant to be used wearing swimsuits.

I enjoy being naked because I like the feel of sunlight or wind on my skin. I like the feel of my body as I move. I don't look fabulous, and that probably effects the choice of when I'll be naked a bit- (if I thought I looked fabulous, would I be naked less often for fear of being a show-off, perhaps?).

I enjoy wearing clothes because I enjoy the way they feel on my skin and the way I feel when I feel that they effect my appearence in a positive way.

I like being half-dressed, a lot- wearing shorts and no shirt, or a t-shirt and no pants, it feels so casual. I like the way loose clothes feel against my otherwise naked body.

I'm not comfortable being naked in front of other people in general. It doesn't bother me if my daughter has to grab something from the bathroom while I'm in the shower (glass door). I did go to a nudist park and felt much more comfortable than I thought I would. Bottom line....i guess it depends on the circumstances.

I enjoy being naked, but I don't "look fabulous" nor am I an exhibitionist. I enjoy interacting with other naked people. :) I even enjoy interacting with people in ways that would usually occur clothed, when I or they are naked. :)
Basically, I like being naked, and I don't care if the people around me have clothes on or not, whether or not I am clothed.

Heh...The only one I picked is "I'm naked right now". I dislike being naked because: I have no pockets, I sunburn easily, clothes are more abrasion resistant than skin, it makes some people feel uncomfortable.
Random nudity anecdote: Back when I was living in Maine, our dojo (or rather, the members thereof) went to visit a dojo run by a friend of our sensei. The dojo was in a health club and had amenities that we had never dreamed of. (Sauna, hot tub, more than one shower) After we were done, we trooped down to the showers, showered and then plopped ourselves into the hot tub. I was the first one into the tub. Naturally, I was naked. As I sat there, the others began coming into the hot tub. They had, every one of them, gone from the shower (where everyone was naked) to their lockers/bags to put on swimsuits before going into the tub. I was a bit confused...
**jen: No...I was tempted, since I figured they would all freak when they realized I was naked. I had just spent five or ten minutes being naked in front of them. There wasn't anything that they hadn't already seen...

It must be a repressed American thing...nudity is just freaky to me. Not that I don't walk around naked in my own home (which I don't do often...oh, the perils of living on the 1st floor of the apartment building!) but I don't feel very comfortable doing it.

I'm getting more relaxed about being naked than I used to be, but I'm still a little weird about it. underwear or a towel doesn't count as naked if I'm not on the street or some public place. *** Melissa, what do you do?

not ugly so much as REALLY unhappy with the way I look.. I am fat.. no two ways about it, but my motivation is almost to the poiint where I will excercise for a bit.. then get too lazy and give it up again.

What a bizarre set of answers!! How about "I like being naked because I think it's natural". I've been in hot tubs and other situations with naked people. Every person is good looking in his or her own way and I appreciate every one. It has nothing to do with me looking "fabulous" or wanting others to see my body. It has to do with acceptance.

Hangin' out is fun, but not around other people!

I enjoy being naked, I don't look fabulous, I'm not an exhibitionist, I don't really care whether other people are naked or not unless I don't actually want to interact with them much in the first place. I just find it frequently more comfortable than wearing clothes, in the same way many people prefer to go barefoot rather than wear shoes. If there were a "I enjoy being naked and don't see the big deal" option I'd have checked it.

naked=comfortable ... no waistbands, no socks, no 18-hour bras that expire in 12 hours!!

I am disappointed that our society requires us to be clothed all the time. It is my opinion that the reason we are titillated by nudity is directly because we have made it a taboo. Its a body - get used to it! I do have an exhibitionistic component, and I like being naked, but the one isn't the reason for the other (at least, not always!) Anyway, I don't get to be naked with other people sufficiently often.

I sleep naked and walk the night searching for other naked people, hoping to form a naked unity and soon get all of the world to become naked. (the first part is true, the rest i made up)

I enjoy being naked because it feels nice, particularly outdoors, in water, or in front of a roaring fire on a sheepskin rug. I sometimes have a little trouble figuring out where to look around other naked people, but I've gotten pretty used to it.
