I think she's pretty cool. Insomniacs are always weird. I have a cookbook by her, it's got some really nice dinners and some strange stuff... And she is not a 'thing'!

Super cheesy! I also can't stand crafts-type crap (homemade puffy photo albums, glitter-&-rhinestone shirts, etc).

You needed an Obligatory Other Answer choice above. I think Martha Stewart is an annoying control freak, but she does some interesting things...if only i could fast forward through the annoying, useless stuff to get to the interesting things...

I think Martha's more butch than most Star Trek characters.

I think it's neat to see Martha Stewart things, just like it's neat to go roaming the Newport Mansions to see the art and elegance possible with "money as no object". Sort of like going to St Patrick's in New York to see the incredible artwork possible with the church's money. It doesn't have anything to do with my own personal life, tho.

Not terrible, exactly, but very, very scary.

...vaguely annoying, but fortunately I'm not exposed to her that much. *** Bill: getting ready to turn SC over to jen, are you? :)

There are a lot of things about Martha I don't like, but I do like her little touches...not the "bake all day, arrange your own cultivated flowers," stuff, but the "sprinkle cinnamon for an easy dessert finish," or "set the table carefully" are things that one can do, irrespective of one's budget, that make your life more beautiful and I think that's a positive thing, so I can't call her evil. I've enjoyed looking through her magazine a few times for just this attitude.

I like her because she's a powerful woman in our society, and I'm sick of all the powerful men.

EB - Jen doesn't need my help to be powerful, she's already kick-ass. Plus I would never give something away, people should work for what they get * smile *

A good camp subject (Patrick Stewart's line from Jeffrey comes to mind) does not make a Good Thing.

And there's this new book out indicating she is actually a neurotic, overcontrolling b*tch. *phew*. I always feel better when people more beautiful, together, organized, and successful than myself have character flaws.
