Are you mostly a defensive or aggressive driver?

For the sake of this survey, we'll assume that a defensive driver is one who: typically drives slowly, makes way for other traffic, drives carefully at all times, and observes all safety implications. An aggressive driver will mean one who: typically drives fast or speeds, makes his (or her) way through traffic (or around it), takes excessive risks while driving, and occasionally disregards safety suggestions.

Mostly aggressive unless carrying passengers and then I am mostly defensive.

I would say overall I am an assertive driver.

It depends on what's going on around me at the time and what mood I'm in. I likes to travel in the fast lane though!

I'm about half and half. I speed but never more than ten miles over, I am a very cautious driver when it comes to somethings, but I have a tendency to disregard safety options sometimes, and I always look for the quickest route through traffic.

I've always considered a defensive driver one who closes gaps so people can't overtake, slows down heavily to piss off tailgaters etc. etc. i.e. both 'defensive' and 'aggressive' driving are dangerous.

Defensive drivers: "This is my space and you can get fudgeed if you think I'll give it up."

Aggressive drivers: "Move the fudge over I want your space."

I can be an overly defensive driver, but if I'm in a hurry?? GET OUTTA MY WAY!! I start yelling and everything, but the STUPID thing is, they can't hear me!! DUH!!

I drive fast sometimes, I safely navigate my way around traffic, I anticipate and watch what other drivers are going to do, I make way for other traffic, and I drive carefully at all times... I don't know what to call myself... I guess half and half since these two options are soo extreme.

which makes it sound like I consider myself a defensive driver - I don't. By these standards I am fairly aggressive.

Aggressive. I love to drive fast and scare the hell out of my fellow automobilists (is that an English word??).
That's why I like driving in Germany so much: no speed limit!

When I drove I think it was about 60% aggressive and 40% defensive

I'm defensive usually but sometimes I've done dumb things (like accidentally gone down a one way street leading to the highway) mainly because of somebody yelling at me about how to drive and it makes me do nervous and things that aren't well thought out.

i'll admit that i speed, but i consider myself a friendly driver. i don't like those people who want to take their time going five miles below the speed limit in the fast lane while traffic backs up behind them. those people might get the finger or an obscenity from me. maybe i'm not as friendly as i thought. :)

I'm neither. My problem is that I'm not paying enough attention altogether. I start daydreaming & stuff. I float along in the middle lane, miss my exits.
