If you were in a rock band, which of the following roles would you fill, assuming you were equally talented at all of them?

Bass player. Being the front man just doesn't appeal, so that's not even an option. Keyboardist... would be neat, too, but I think I'd like to be able to move around a little during shows. And there'd be the least possible temptation (or expectation) to do self-serving solos. :)

I would be keyboard player, since, well, I am. But it wouldn't be a "rock band," it would be a performance collaboration. Or something like that. And there might not be anyone but me, so technically I'd do everything via keyboards. Or maybe not. But definitely keyboards.

definately bass. nothing like strumming a fish.. seriously, I tend to like good rythm or beat, so bass seems best (or drum, but i'd prefer bass).

Lead guitarist, you get almost as much attention as the lead singer but don't always have to be out front.

I love to drum. What I'd REALLY like to do is be the percussionist/backup drummer (like the Feelies had) so that someone else would have to do the boring work of keeping the rest of the band together and I could just make interesting rhythmic filigree over the top.

lead vocals, the guy running around in front of the band making a fool of himself - that's me!

I love to sing although in real life I sound horrendous. Being lead singer would be a blast!

Probably a backup vocalist, and an instrument player at the same time. An integral part of the band, but not the front person.

I enjoy singing most, but that may be because I do it better than other musical instruments. More likely, I would sing, *and* play an instrument (guitar, bass, or keyboards would be most likely).

I love playing keyboards so that would be my main choice. I also love to sing, though, so I'd want to at least be a back-up singer while playing. Of course ideally I'd want to do some lead-vocals while playing. My boyfriend already plays bass in two bands so I'll use him in "my" band ;)

I was the token girl for a while in a band while I was in High School and I played the bass but because of my total lack of musical ability I was booted... No hard feelings though because I knew they would turn down my amp at shows

What I do is play keyboards and sing, but if I possessed the required talent (and more noise-tolerant parents growing up), I would have liked to have been a drummer. *** Musician jokes: Q: How many guitarists does it take to change a light bulb? A: 13. One to change the light bulb and 12 to stand around saying how they could do it better. Q: How many bass players does it take to change a light bulb? A: It doesn't matter, no one notices anyway. Q: How many drummers does it take to change a light bulb? A: None. They have machines that do that now.

I'd probably be a backup singer. If I really did have the talent for it, I'd play bass, though. I always wanted to play a big upright bass. I guess I could be both backup singer and bass player. :)

I play bass and rhythm guitar, so I'd want to check both.
